=== ming is now known as Guest70374 [14:32] hello, I'm attempting to install a package that requires libffi5 as a dependency. [14:33] I've installed libffi-dev from the repos, but it doesn't seem to help the matter [14:33] I'm currently running Trusty on a BeagleBone Black [14:33] why -dev ? [14:33] that has the headers for building stuff ... not the runtime libs [14:34] (though it should have pulled the runtilme into your system) [14:39] libffi6 should do it, correct? [14:39] depends what your app was linked against i guess [14:39] I wasn't sure whether libffi5 and libffi6 were incompatible, in much the same way as python2 and python3 are [14:40] heh, libffi6 is apparently the latest version :/ [14:47] any idea as to what I should install, then? libffi6 isn't working. [18:00] codingman: Where did you find an armhf package that depends on libffi5? [23:26] hi [23:34] is there hope for my 7'' mini-netbook Jaytech 9903 (aka NB-7 aka meteor PX-8690 ... ) , which is obviously quite bricked now ?
