[06:48] Good morning. [07:48] *waves to the "in" crowd* ;P [07:51] Hey ObrienDave, how are you? [07:51] good, thanks. just got home from work :) [07:51] and you? [07:52] Doing okay. Trying to figure out how I am going to design this gui thing. [07:52] Inkscape :) [07:53] I'm using it to design an ultra-secure deniable encryption installer script ... but pencil and paper seem to work better :) [07:54] *instant headache* ;P [07:55] * TJ- offers ObrienDave a FeverFew sandwich [07:55] :) [07:56] * lordievader is using Qt Designer [07:57] I bought a SuperTalent mini-PCIe (true PCIe interface, not mSATA) flash mass storage device about 3 weeks ago, from a retailer in CA. It was DOA. SuperTalent themselves RMAed it (also to CA) and it arrived with them 2 weeks ago. It arrived back with me today. Got to recommend their service [08:02] OMG why do i help people who cant understand basic info questions? ;P [08:03] Is it that time again :P [08:04] i'm going to run out of beer first ;P [08:06] moar beer ;P [08:18] darn, xheart left. breaks my heart ;P [08:18] NOT! ;P [08:19] Huhu [08:19] Hihi* [08:21] i red somewhere, that there is a difference in wifi channels, in europe and usa, 12 or 15 channels issue https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels [08:21] could this be the cause of some wifi issues? [08:21] good morning guys [08:21] hi lotus [08:21] OerHeks: hey mate [08:22] OerHeks: It can be yes. the US ges 11 802.11g channels, Europe has 13, Japan 14 [08:22] http://linux.softpedia.com/blog/canonical-throws-in-10-000-euro-rewards-for-new-ubuntu-phone-ad-campaign-487922.shtml [08:22] who wants some $$$ [08:22] * OerHeks checking http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/EURUSD:CUR [08:22] i was going to say i doubt it because the adapter handles the channel, not ubuntu [08:23] ObrienDave, not sure if your locale has anything to do with it ... [08:23] i seriously doubt it [08:23] OerHeks: if the "regulatory domain" is not set correctly by cfg80211 module via its CRDA calls, then a device may operate as 11 channels but the AP might be on say channel 13, and therefore the client won't see the AP [08:23] Oh oke, the AP sets the mode? [08:24] i had no clue [08:24] See the "crda" package, it has the CRDA agent [08:25] !info crda [08:25] crda (source: crda): wireless Central Regulatory Domain Agent. In component main, is optional. Version 3.13-1 (vivid), package size 60 kB, installed size 295 kB (Only available for linux-any) [08:26] (Only available for linux-any)??? new one on me [08:26] TJ-, thanks, its a little more clear to me now, i was looking for a bug that cannot be there. [08:27] * if crda works correct [08:28] If you want to know how it is figured out in-depth, see https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/developers/regulatory/processing_rules [08:29] A friend of mine has some trouble with the 802.11d protocol. Because his neighbours send out packets using the Canadian country code his wifi chip doesn't allow channel 13 where his acces point is broadcasing on. [08:55] *face palms* why me? ;p [08:55] lol [08:55] ObrienDave: what do you mean palms???? [08:56] both hands ;p [08:56] lol [08:56] But .. you asked for it ? [08:56] bbl guys forest walk [08:57] take Drabber with you please [08:57] oh [08:58] drabber? ;p [08:59] https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6885560/DrabberIsLief.JPG [08:59] awwwwwwwwwwws cute :) [09:05] seriously???? [09:07] xchat should be removed from softwarecenter :-P [09:08] submit HexChat instead [09:09] 8.10 .. after that, i switched to ubuntu on my main pc [09:11] where DO you find there people? ;P [09:13] You are a collector of Ubuntu images and you install 8.10? Just how? [09:13] My mind throws errors. [09:13] by being stupid ;P [09:14] * lordievader makes more coffee [09:14] * ObrienDave gets another beer or three ;P [09:14] i collect them too, genuine printed versions [09:26] GRRRRRRRR [09:28] read that as "genuine pirated versions" ROFL [09:58] ' moar beer' [13:19] Awesome popey ! http://popey.com/blog/2015/07/28/easily-port-mobile-html5-games-to-ubuntu-phone/ [13:22] thanks OerHeks [13:38] bloody minecraft all the time :P [13:41] i didn't liked it, even before ms bought it. [13:41] same [13:41] i think it's because i'm not even the slightest bit creative [13:41] I do like the lego stuff [19:42] aaaand time for another break. [19:42] :)
