dufluRAOF: Remind me what part of hotplugging (if any) should or should not work?02:34
RAOFEverything except for GPUs, I think.02:35
dufluRAOF: Is it a udev event thing?02:35
RAOFFor the kms platform, yes.02:36
dufluHmm, do we monitor those?02:36
dufluI don't remember02:36
RAOFWe do.02:36
RAOFNow, it's entirely possible that mir_proving_server won't *do* anything with the configuration events it receives...02:37
dufluRAOF: Yeah I know that bit's missing02:50
dufluSadly I did start implementing the automatic WM stuff for display layout changes. It all got shot down and never landed02:51

dufluHmm, is greyback travelling today?08:51
seb128duflu, he's at the sprint in London, he just went to get something to drink, I guess he should be online in a few minutes08:52
dandraderduflu, hey08:54
dufludandrader: Good morning08:54
dufluI think08:54
dandraderduflu, me, anpok and greyback were talking about that streched windows bug08:54
dufludandrader: Yeah seems like one of those bugs where you need fixes in multiple components08:55
dandraderduflu, yeah, it's "good morning" :)08:55
dandraderduflu, so I got the fix for qtubuntu and qtmir.08:55
dufludandrader: I saw. Can you answer the questions I put in those MPs (if not already)?08:56
dandraderduflu, but the approach of swapping more buffers to finally get the one with the new size is seem as a waste of resources and a workaround08:56
dandraderduflu, with the proper fix being that mir should ensure that the next buffer the client gets after the resize event would have the new size already. always08:57
dandraderduflu, that do you think?08:57
dandraderduflu, no, i didn't see your comments on those MPs yet08:57
dandraderduflu, didn't get any e-mails from launchpad about then.... strange. let me open their pages08:58
dufludandrader: I think for desktop at least you will eventually need my texture coordinates fix. It's the only way resizing a window with a mouse will look right. But if you don't need it today that's OK08:58
dandraderah, you mean the lp:~vanvugt/qtmir/unstretch  branch. let me see08:59
dufluEssentially you need to explain in what use case do you not want square pixels? Because that's what unstretch ensures09:00
* duflu does multi-monitor testing and might be unavailable for a bit09:03
kgunnrobert_ancell: willcooke anpok bregma wanna get together in like 10 min to discuss display stack assumptions/reqs for xmir?09:48
robert_ancellkgunn, sure09:48
willcookekgunn, yes indeed09:49
anpokok09:49
willcookekgunn, I've reserved Richie meeting room, whereever that is09:59
kdubany more reviews? :) https://code.launchpad.net/~kdub/mir/buffer-stream-use-vault/+merge/26863311:19

mdeslaur(I gather that's no longer necessary with glamor XMir?)12:49
anpokand also RAOFs git repository might not be the right one..12:51

RAOFOr even evening.23:16
RAOFBa baw!23:18
RAOFgreyback: In return for you not understanding my copy/paste proposal, I clearly don't quite understand your “scale associated with buffer” idea ☺23:43
greybackRAOF: so it appears :D Just hitting the hay, let's chat later on23:43
RAOFgreyback: Sure. You'll be on the C&P call?23:44
