[00:04] apt [00:22] bedtimw [00:22] nighty [01:34] Unit193: hah [01:34] Unit193: and yes, much prefer apt over yum [01:35] or whatever is in use now [01:35] dnf [01:35] yeah [01:35] didn't like yum [01:35] really really dislike dnf [01:36] Oh? [01:36] Huh. [01:36] at least from my minimal usage and annoyance [01:36] or maybe its because you can use both currently, but using yum once messes dnf up [01:36] or did for me :) [01:39] * bluesabre is probably just a debian man [01:39] debianite [01:47] 'Upload patched xfce4-panel with xfpanel-switch integration'? [01:51] button to launch xfpanel-switch [01:52] Like a virus? [01:52] lol [01:52] more like a "we need more ways to launch a single related app" [01:53] ochosi is supposed to upstream that patch at some point [01:53] ochosi: nudge nudge [01:57] Unit193: the patched version is chilling in xubuntu-staging if you want to take a look [02:46] ochosi: hide the power-manager plugin charge label by default? https://code.launchpad.net/~bluesabre/xubuntu-default-settings/hide-xfpm-label/+merge/269701 [02:47] https://i.imgur.com/zw1UGBz.png [02:47] for reference [03:00] ochosi: so for panel layouts, I'll add "GNOME 2", "Xfce", and "Redmond" to xfpanel-switch, and we can add "Xubuntu 12.04" and "Xubuntu 14.04" as ubuntu-specific patches [03:17] well, it would have been a faithful reproduction, https://i.imgur.com/ogfhoni.png [03:18] bed time, night all [14:32] micahg, any idea when you'd be getting to your work items? [14:32] micahg, or should we look for other people to look at some of the stuff, when there is still time before the freezes? [14:33] hello [14:34] when I want to install virtualbox-gues-x11 it refuses because it needs "xorg-video-abi15" and "xserver-xorg-core". When I install both at same time (using apt-get) it installs them, and it triggers a huge change, removing all xserver lts packages and replacing them with the non LTS versions. Question : is that the expected behavior? Or is it a bug? [14:34] melodie: knome said can't be #xubuntu-devel ;) [14:35] I'd try asking in #ubuntu-devel - if nothing else they might have a clue who to talk to [14:35] and hi knome [14:35] hello flocculant [14:35] melodie, well, this channel isn't for bug reporting either... [14:35] melodie, it is a development channel for sure, but not a bug tracker [14:37] okok [14:44] bluesabre, is #1482626 ready for a FFe request? or do you need to prepare it further? [14:44] bug 1482626 [14:44] bug 1482626 in blueman (Ubuntu) "FFe: Please merge blueman 2.0-1 (universe) from Debian stretch (main)" [Wishlist,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1482626 [14:44] silly bot [14:44] Unit193, would you mind helping upload gmb 1.1.15 to debian? [14:45] Unit193, and/or xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin [14:45] who's even doing that, it's WIP but assigned to -devel [14:45] can we stop the bot being interested in qa trello - not sure it's needed now it's not used much [14:47] also, bug 1388922 seems like a low-hanging one [14:47] bug 1388922 in xdg-utils (Ubuntu) "xdg-open doesn't properly detect Xfce/Xubuntu" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1388922 [14:47] flocculant, i don't mind the messages either, though [14:57] knome flocculant where can I talk about the location of the icons on the desktop? Here, at #xubuntu or else? This is Xfce related [15:57] bye [17:44] wb dkessel [18:23] oh bah [18:23] oh... what? [18:23] bah [18:24] apache must have crashed here or sth [18:24] i can't access the staging website where i was just working on stuff [18:26] :( [18:26] sigh [18:26] ssh appears to work :D [18:53] knome: http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-multimedia/gmusicbrowser.git - http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pkg-xfce/goodies/trunk/xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin/ [18:54] so what does those need? [18:57] Corsac wanted to review then upload, and for gmb I pinged alessio. [18:58] ok [18:58] can you reping? [18:59] Won't help Ubuntu at this point. === brainwash_ is now known as brainwash [20:41] where's krytarik when you need him? [20:41] Unit193, it'll help us get them to debian. [20:41] "xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin: Upload to Debian" [20:42] Heh, I meant that, auto-sync is off. Yeah, he's been missing for days. [20:42] 17th. [20:42] anyway, did you work with the pa-plugin too? [20:43] Pushed that and xfdash to alioth/pkg-xfce, poked Corsac and he's at least looked at it a little. [20:43] i just gave those works items for you :] [20:44] not that you need to do any more for them than so far [20:44] just to track who's doing what [21:04] bluesabre: i don't mind hiding the label, but that patch only applies to xfpm>=1.5.x which we still don't ship, so i'm not sure it's totally necessary already [21:05] ahhh, ochosi [21:05] hi knome [21:05] and everyone else [21:05] ochosi, a few things [21:05] ochosi, http://xstaging.lallinaho.fi/ [21:05] about to go to bed though, had a full first day at work and tomorrow will be a looong day [21:06] ochosi, first, i'd probably move the blog there. [21:06] ochosi, then, make the window narrow (<600px) [21:06] there you see some quick access menu items [21:06] nice [21:06] the rest can still be accessed from the dropdown or the footer menu [21:06] i'll likely change a few bits there, but that's the plan [21:07] nice responsive design [21:07] well done [21:07] thanks again [21:08] anything else you wanted to discuss? ("a few things..") [21:08] that was it [21:09] the blog item was the other thing [21:14] oh ok [21:14] that's good, i'm too tired for anything meaningful anyway... [21:15] gee, thanks :P [21:15] :) [21:53] ochosi: oh right... that appeared after adding the ppa [21:53] silly me
