=== LarrySteeze|Away is now known as LarrySteeze [04:23] um i've run into a glitch with an lxde panel... I set said panel as dynamic and hidden, but now i can't un hide it. Is there a way to edit my panels via a config file? [13:26] how come synptic has no transmission update? [13:27] like i can 'manually' update, but i am curious why the update is not mainstream for lbuntu? [13:28] it is more that i would like to knwo how to answer such a question [13:35] !sru | NOOB_: Do you mean this? [13:35] NOOB_: Do you mean this?: Stable Release Update information is at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates [13:35] krytarik: i'll look and see [13:38] interesting [13:38] thank you sir [13:39] Sure. [18:01] there're no specific rules. if you need to ask just do it [18:01] if there's people who can help you they will do [18:01] if not we can always head you to the proper place [18:01] that's Lind of u ! [18:01] :) [18:02] kind of u redwolf [18:02] or there's no need for asking for help, you can simply stay :) [18:02] I 'm linux user And i'm looking for tutorials About linux And web application pentesting ! [18:05] sorry, web application what? [18:06] oh penetration tests [18:06] Pentesting Web Application [18:06] Yes * [18:06] there's a Linux distro designed for that [18:06] yeah Kali linux [18:06] Or Achlinux [18:07] backbox is the classic [18:07] https://n0where.net/best-linux-penetration-testing-distributions/ [18:07] u mean it's better than Kali ? [18:08] it's more famous, and it has a better support. not sure about the "quality". I never used them [18:08] Caine, for example, is based on Ubuntu [18:09] yeah Seen it ! I'm using kali linux on my vmware [18:09] I can't help very much on these, they're not "usual" distros :) [18:09] Never Tried another one I think kali 2.0 is better distro [18:10] distrowatch made a nice report about Caine, but I'm not really interested on those [18:10] sorry :) [18:10] What are u interested in ? [18:11] Lubuntu :) [18:11] I know, that was expected :D [18:11] Lubuntu ? [18:11] is it like ubuntu ? [18:12] you are in its channel :) [18:12] yes [18:12] yes, it's the lightweight version of Ubuntu, using LXDE as its desktop environment [18:12] i just joined it [18:12] http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu [18:12] cool the only thing i hate in ubuntu is the unity mode [18:12] or http://lubuntu.me [18:13] you're welcome the the Facebook groups too [18:14] did any one tell you you are a nice Guy :) [18:14] O.O thanks! :D [18:14] very generous And Welcomming [18:15] I like that [18:15] I like to help people [18:15] Me too [18:15] When i can [18:16] that's why we do this, to help us each other [18:16] yeah nice gesture [18:16] see? and I had a nice feedback, instead a troll one. so thanks :) [18:17] tell me Does it have a same Reppo as ubuntu ? [18:17] yes, we share the same repos [18:17] like Xubuntu, Kubuntu... [18:17] but our desktop is highly customised to be lighter [18:18] Great I4ll think about trying it [18:18] the 64 bit only 690 [18:18] mg [18:18] it should fir on a CD, yes [18:19] the URL I told you above explains what apps we use [18:19] but you can always use the Software Center to add any other available [18:20] yes it's better and safer to use Software Center [18:20] indeed [18:25] i'm downloading it right now try it on vmware then if i like it i'll set it as the main OS [18:26] that's great! :) [22:32] I think i found a bug. when you goto dectop settings advanced and set it to "show menus provided by windows managers when desktop is cliced". The menu dont works when you clic on something. it is like i am loged out and need to log into lubuntu again. [22:33] This in 14.04.3 [23:22] argh that unfortanely is still broken in 14.04 but is fixed in 14.10 and later although 15.04 has a broken icon for lxpanel that a fix for wily is out [23:22] and then gone
