[00:05] a sourceforge repo? [00:07] bazhang: Yeah, the mozilla one is a bit of a known one. [00:08] is ubuntuzilla just another chatzilla? [00:09] No, it's a repo for firefox, specifically. [00:09] ok [00:09] odd place to host it [00:10] bazhang: Not sure it's needed in Ubuntu considering how fast they do it now, but http://sourceforge.net/p/ubuntuzilla/wiki/Main_Page/#background [00:11] yep [00:11] I can wait ... [00:12] its pretty much a near instant security update from what I can tell [00:12] hi [00:13] how i can start preinstalled? (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-desktop-next/daily-preinstalled/current/) [00:13] That's not Xubuntu at all. [00:14] bazhang: Except for the development version, they don't tend to care as much there. [00:16] I know, but I think there may be people who can help a novice. [00:17] help with what [00:17] Unity8 is entirely different, I'd recommend #ubuntu or #ubuntu-desktop (can't remember what exactly, but.) [00:19] ok, thank's [00:19] or #ubuntu-unity === torstehu_ is now known as torstehu === function9x is now known as Guest62558 === Guest62558 is now known as function9x === aleph is now known as Guest11797 === simon_ is now known as Simooon === azeam_afk is now known as azeam [17:36] Bonjour à tous. Y-at-il quelqu'un de disponible pour aider un pauvre linuxien en devenir ? [17:36] !fr [17:36] !fr | xubuntu29w [17:37] oh, sorry [17:37] #ubuntu-fr for francais [17:37] thanks [17:37] the bot might be sleeping bazhang [17:37] more than that I am afraid [17:38] :) [18:01] does anyone use tlp here? [18:02] yes [18:06] do you have a second hdd? [18:06] no [18:06] hm [18:07] anyways my disk keeps going from standby to active when i connect/disconnect from power [18:07] the second disk which i don't use often [18:11] Pwnna, probably because the different power states use different settings for the disks [18:12] changing settings will cause disks to wake up [18:12] yeah but idk where the settings are.. [18:12] i've already check TLP [18:13] default configuration file is /etc/default/tlp [18:14] details are explained at http://linrunner.de/en/tlp/docs/tlp-configuration.html === SonikkuAmerica is now known as Guest69999 === littlebunnyfufu is now known as Guest53614 === _7 is now known as Guest4220 === aleph is now known as Guest59954 === azeam_afk is now known as azeam [19:35] I had a thinkpad t520 with xubuntu 14.04LTS, and an external monitor, a dell U24. [19:36] The dell monitor has a menu but doesn't have an option to set the resolution. It has an option to set the aspect ratio, to 16x10 or 4x3 (i.e. 16 x 9), I tried that but the popups are still there. [19:37] Hm, I just tried using Settings/Display and selected Mirror on the dell, that made the laptop popup goa way, but the Dell popup is still there. === Guest4220 is now known as SonikkuAmerica === littlebunnyfufu is now known as Guest44306 === Guest44306 is now known as SonikkuAmerica [23:03] Good evening. I have a thinkpad t520 with xubuntu 14.04 LTS. I have this little "Disply: Laptop\n Resolution:1920x1080" popup at the bottom of my screen and I can't figure out how to make it go away. [23:03] I sometimes plug my laptop into a dock which has an external monitor, dell u24, that might be related. === bazhang_ is now known as bazhang
