mcphailWhat version of Mir is running on OTA-7 devices?12:44
popey0.16 i think mcphail12:52
popeythats what the version of all the *mir* packages is on mine12:52
sverzegnassipopey, JMulholland: hi, this follows up our discussion on desktop headers we had during the last meeting. I've played a bit with the UITK 1.3 and tried to give a "decent" form to my proposal: https://imgur.com/a/tPBzR13:33
sverzegnassithe header caption has been moved into the title bar, and the zoom selector into the default head state13:34
popeylooks like a gtk app now :)13:34
popeysverzegnassi: i like it.13:36
sverzegnassipopey, that was the idea :P I'm already using it on desktop for studying and this way it looks familiar to anyone uses current Ubuntu desktop apps imho14:09

jnxdany icon designers here? After a recent post, and templates, I tried my hand at it, and here's the result yet: http://imgur.com/qrxF79x. Can anyone suggest (or make) a good paintbrush art that'd fit with the theme?15:25
KiviElleo, ping15:45
ElleoKivi: pong?15:46
KiviElleo, HEY!15:51
tathhu:D15:51
tathhu<315:51
KiviElleo, I want to make colemak, and get it into ubuntu phone. popey said to go bother you incessantly until you tell me how to do this.15:52
Elleoheh15:52
KiviElleo, is there a good api for doing this? Are you using the old templates from linux to generate keyboard layouts?15:53
Kivior do I have to make a qml file?15:53
ElleoKivi: it's a bit of a tricky one at the moment, basically the current system uses QML layouts; but we have a branch that shifts to much simpler json layouts15:54
ElleoKivi: which also opens the door for us to provide keyboard layouts as click packages, which might be the best option for something like a colemak layout15:54
KiviElleo, best option is to do what ubuntu does, and provide it by default imho.15:55
ElleoKivi: however I'm not sure when we're likely to land those changes, as they're part of a big change to the whole word engine system (to provide better predictions), but I haven't had much time available to work on keyboard stuff recently15:55
KiviElleo, anyway; so this isn't done through click packages?15:56
ElleoKivi: not currently, at the moment all the keyboard layouts are deb packages included as part of the system image15:56
KiviElleo, ah okay.15:56
ElleoKivi: but we want to move away from that in the future, as it's not great for space usage as we get more and more layouts15:57
ElleoKivi: (as each layout also then has the relevant dictionaries, prediction data, etc. for its language)15:57
ElleoKivi: so we'll be shifting to having layouts available via click instead15:57
Kivihmmmm interesting.15:57
ElleoKivi: but I'm not sure what the timeframe for that is likely to be, as most of my time is currently taken up with download manager and browser stuff15:58
KiviElleo, is it just one deb with all the layouts, or one deb per layout?15:58
ElleoKivi: one deb per layout15:58
KiviElleo, before I go then, can you direct me to the qwerty english deb?15:59
ElleoKivi: if you wanted something immediate you could create a branch that has colemak debs, but I can't guarantee it'd be accepted into the system image by default and the qml layouts are a bit of a pain15:59
KiviElleo, yeah they are a pain. Funny enough; I made a qml layout before though.15:59

bingoRHey guys, I'm trying to run HTML5 apps from a device with inspector enabled so I can learn the APIs. Any ideas? I'm currently trying with -- ubuntu-html5-app-launcher --www=/opt/click.ubuntu.com/test3.bingor/current/www/ --inspector -- but it is telling me that both arguments are deprecated.16:57
bingoRIf that is the right way of debugging a html5 running on a device, could you tell me where to get the sources to ubuntu-html5-app-launcher so I can check for the right params?16:59
