I'm looking for a desktop client. I've only found DragonDisk so far. [18:58] Hi. [18:59] ChinnoDog, i have not tried any integrations w/ Amazon Cloud Drive unfortunately. I've found dropbox selective sync paired with AWS Glacier to be a good combo for me [18:59] dropbox is active workspace items + archival, then deep freeze archival of my dropbox to glacier once a month [19:01] It is hard to ignore with unlimited storage for $60/year [19:04] but do you trust it? [19:11] idk yet. [19:11] First I have to find a way to access it! [19:12] Looks like DragonDisk uses s3 API but Cloud Drive does not. How ironic. [19:13] I don't really trust anyone with my data except me [19:17] Are you storing your backups off site on redundant storage? [19:19] Yes. [19:28] I guess I need to sign up for jthan cloud storage services. [19:30] ChinnoDog: it's more expensive but.. Well at least you know who's touching your data [19:46] http://www.code42.com/crashplan/ is good too. i know several who are using it [19:48] I used Crashplan for a number of years but I stopped because my Internet access was too slow for the amount of traffic it generates. [19:49] Cloud Drive has more utility than than if it is another cloud storage provider like Dropbox though. [19:49] s/than than/than that/ [19:49] well crashplan is exactly that [19:49] disaster recovery [19:50] dropbox is more of a floating workspace === _penth_ is now known as penth
