tjaaltonhi, is there a bug about some auto-attached logfiles not being marked text/plain? it could be made more intelligent I guess, and mark all *.log and *.log.old as such04:55
wgranttjaalton: Do you have an example?04:58
tjaaltonI just changed them to text/plain, but will search for another05:00
tjaaltonthough does that matter? private bug 1502064 for one05:02
ubot5Error: Launchpad bug 1502064 could not be found05:02
tjaalton.var.log.Xorg.0.log.old and .var.log.kern.log were not text/plain but application/x-trash and octet-stream05:02
tjaaltonactually, kern.log on that does have some garbage due to a system crash which might explain that..05:03
tjaaltonsame on Xorg.0.log.old05:04
tjaaltonperhaps they both were octet-stream, but .var.log.Xorg.0.log.old tends to be application/x-trash on others05:05
tjaaltonif not always05:05
tjaaltonstill, garbage or not, text/plain if possible :)05:06
wgrantPretending binary files are text files is a good way to crash browsers.05:08
wgrantAnd hardcoding .log.old on our end seems really dodgy.05:08

PharmasolinHello everyone, i need help12:48
PharmasolinThis team https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-uk is inactive (admins) there are a lot people who wait to be applied in team for years12:48
PharmasolinI want to translate in launchpad but i can only offer "suggestions"12:49
Pharmasolinhow to become a member of team if admins are inactive for years?12:49
jpdsPharmasolin: I think dpm on IRC should know what to do14:25
aryoexcuse me, can anyone tell me how to hide source tarball in PPA, please?16:05
jpdsDon't think you can16:06
tewardaryo: you can't.  you can precompile the binaries, and then your 'source tarball' has the binaries, and you can then upload a package that only installs those binaries, but that's not necessarily the best practice either16:06
aryookay, thank you jpds, teward for your answers... actually I've been finding a PPA but there is no tarball there. it's long ago16:10
tewardaryo: i have two PPAs that don't have tarballs available (i.e. the source isn't available, only the built binaries are).16:11
tewardexcept that i started running my own repo server for binary-only packages xD16:11
teward(and I build my packages inside of sbuild xD)16:11
aryoactually, I'm looking for the bazaar source of http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~elkirtasse.team/elforkane/elforkane/files16:14
aryoand I find out how to do the same to my repo16:14
tewardthat looks like a recipe build16:15
teward(and i see tarballs on the PPA by the way for the stuff that the recipe builds)16:16
teward(probably made by the recipe)16:16
aryoi'm rather confused, that the latest commit is in 2013, but the latest recipe build is in 2015...16:20

dobeyeh, the code was copied over to launchpad and the recipe created in 201516:51
dobeyit's too bad i can't actually read any of that16:51
dobeyi'm not sure what that person wants though16:52
tewarddobey: his initial question was [2015-10-23 12:05:37] <aryo> excuse me, can anyone tell me how to hide source tarball in PPA, please?16:54
tewarddobey: his subsequent statements were asking for the bazaar source of an existing recipe and how to replicate such things with his repo in PPA builds I think16:54
tewardbut i'm just as confused :)16:54
dobeyyeah, i read the questions, but i don't understand what he was asking16:55
dobeyhe asked for the bazaar source for something, by linking directly to the bazaar source tree view16:55
tewarddobey: i think his question is "How do I set up recipe builds" because he asked how to achieve what that tree (and ppa via recipe) achieved...16:56
* teward shrugs16:56
