mariogripondra: is your "personal/w-ondra/phablet-5.1.1_r5" branch a working android tree?11:59
=== popey_ is now known as popey
ondramariogrip yep12:12
ondramariogrip works on Nexus 4 and on Nexus 7 audio does not work12:13
ondramariogrip never tested things like gps, also hw support for video playback is missing12:13
ondramariogrip otherwise more or less working fine12:13
mariogripondra: cool, i12:14
mariogripwill try to see if it works on the oneplus12:14
mariogriptwo12:14
ondramariogrip yeah let me know, I'm soon off for one week holiday, but can assist you next week12:17
ondramariogrip I'm just moving other products to 5.112:17
ondramariogrip there are also new build options to make building and porting easier12:17
mariogripondra: Awesome12:17
ondramariogrip you can even enable adb sync if you wish for android part12:17
ondramariogrip I will try to write some how for, it but you can look in to commits for comments in build dir12:18
=== _salem is now known as salem_
ondramariogrip you can then use build commands like this $ BOARD_SYSTEMIMAGE_PARTITION_PADDING=20485760 make -j4 to make android system writable12:19
ondramariogrip this will create you device package then $ make devicepackage12:20
mariogripondra: thats awesome12:21
ondramariogrip you are welcome!12:23
mariogripondra: is the audio problem in n4/7 related to qcoms hardware?12:23
mariogripondra: btw, i have a problem on the oneplus one that it does not switch output device to "headphones" are plugged in, is it audioflinger that is responsible for switching? (I tested to switch manually (editing the snd_device in hardware/qcom/audio/hal) and that works fine)12:28
mariogripand is audioflinger needed to do voice call?12:28
ondramariogrip not really and it works in N412:29
ondramariogrip I just had zero time to look what is issue on N7, probably something very silly12:29
dokois there a reason that libhybris is still built using gcc-4.7?12:32
mariogripondra: do you have a copy the manifest for phablet-5.1.1?12:35
ondramariogrip for Ubuntu build?12:38
mariogripondra: yes12:38
ondramariogrip https://code-review.phablet.ubuntu.com/gitweb?p=aosp%2Fplatform%2Fmanifest.git;a=shortlog;h=refs%2Fheads%2Fpersonal%2Fw-ondra%2Fphablet-5.1.1_r512:39

Guest85748Hi. Is it possible to follow the guide at http://developer.ubuntu.com/en/start/ubuntu-for-devices/installing-ubuntu-for-devices/#prepare-desktop if I'm using Mint Linux instead of Ubuntu desktop? Is there anything I need to do differently?18:15
themarcqhi, is there someone willing to help with porting of ubuntu touch?18:16

melesJust having the weirdest behaviour on my BQ E4.5 ever. I get messages - see them in the msg menu - but once i want to display them in the msg app, they vanish. Writing a new msg and selecting the receipients name, leads to a blank field. I guess there is issues with the  write access, can anybody help me to track ths down?18:58
pmcgowanrenatu, or bfiller ^^19:04
bfillersalem_: any ideas for meles sounds strange indeed19:05
melesbfiller: on home there is no space anymore...19:06
bfillermeles: oh, well there you go :) going to see lots of broken stuff until you clean that up19:06
salem_meles, ah, in that case, history service isn't able to store messages anymore.19:06
melesi think this shouldn't affect the standard phone-functions like SMS and phonecalls. I wiill report a bug, what do you guys think?19:06
melesIn my opinion there should be a few MB be reserved.19:07
pmcgowanthat would maybe just delay the inevitable19:07
pmcgowanmeles, did you get a warning for low disk?19:07
melesi didn't see it in the messaging menu, just no in the logfiles19:08
meles...just now...19:08
pmcgowanmeles, a dialog should have popped up at some point19:08
melesi didn't confirm any, but i had to hard reboot the phone today.19:10
meleswhen was the popup supposed to appear?19:11
pmcgowanonce its under 5% remaining19:11
pmcgowanwe can test to confirm thats working as intended19:11
melesi was coping file via usb to the phone, could it be that in this case the warning is missing?19:12
pmcgowanmeles, we can check it, it certainly needs to work then19:12
pmcgowanI actually opened a similar bug a while back, will reopen it19:13
pmcgowanmeles, I think so actually, the daemn that checks propbably looks every so often and may not be quick enough19:13
melesi see, have you got any clue whats the freequency of the daemon? seconds, minutes...?19:15
pmcgowangonna check the code now19:16
melesi just checking if i get the popup19:22
melespmcgowan did you find anything? i just filled up home with the terminal app dd if=/dev/zero of=output.dat  bs=1M  count=1000 but for the past 5 minute i got no popup there is only a warning in the ubuntu-push-client.log19:27
pmcgowanmeles, yeah thats bad, still looking19:29
pmcgowanmeles, this is the bug I resurrected19:30
pmcgowanhttps://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/141403719:30
ubot5Launchpad bug 1414037 in ciborium (Ubuntu) "Disk space low notification is not reliably reported" [High,Confirmed]19:30
pmcgowanlooks like once  a min19:38
melesThen I definatly didn't get a warning, I was waiting about 719:39
pmcgowansounds like the check itself failed then19:43
pmcgowanwill get it reproduced19:43
melesok i already added my experiences to the bug report19:44
pmcgowanthanks19:44
pmcgowanmeles, how much disk does your device have 8GB?19:45
melespmcgowan: exactly + 32GB micro SD19:47
pmcgowanok19:48
=== chihchun is now known as chihchun_afk
pmcgowanmeles, so I was wrong its actually a notification in the message menu19:55
pmcgowanI did trigger one by stopping at 96%19:55
melesok i will try the same.20:01
pmcgowanI think filing the disk prevents the notification from going across dbus, by the time it detects it its too late20:05
