ubot5Launchpad bug 1505839 in debian-installer (Ubuntu) "Unable to install from text mode interface" [Undecided,Confirmed]07:48
rickardvecan be changed to triaged.07:48
jibelrickardve, done, what is the importance in your opinion?10:47
AndChat|486164jibel: it should probably be medium since it might impact a lot of automated ubuntu-server installs.14:22
=== AndChat|486164 is now known as rickardve2
rickardve2jibel: on the other hand there is a easy workaround.14:23
CysiolandDid I do right with that project change, or did I fuck up? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/150795720:25
ubot5Launchpad bug 1507957 in network-manager (Ubuntu) "Huawei E3372 LTE modem on 15.10 works only when connecting via wvdial and not network-manager" [Medium,Confirmed]20:25

ubot5The main Ubuntu channels require that you speak in calm, polite English. For other languages, please visit https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IRC/ChannelList20:25
CysiolandDid I do right with that project change, or did I mess up? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/150795720:25
Cysiolandteward, better?20:25
tewardyou don't have to restate your statement, just for future20:26
Cysiolandteward, I just wanted to show you, that I know, what did I do wrong20:26
CysiolandBut I'll note20:26
tewardsecondly, the bug had a comment that NetworkManager likely was the target, so I see you changed the package over20:26
Cysiolandteward, and I ask about that. Did I do right, or do I need to report a new bug?20:26
tewardso I think you're OK here, but if its not a network manager bug it'll go somewhere else20:27
tewardCysioland: patience, i'm on a phone lol20:27
tewardbluetooth keyboards can't keep up with my typing speed (way too fast, so the buffers are huge)20:27
tewardin any case, I think you're good, and don't need another bug20:27
tewardjust a lot of patience20:27
Cysiolandteward, maybe another triager will chip in if it's wrong20:28
tewardor you could just wait :)20:28
tewardi think you're good though20:28
teward:)20:28
Cysiolandteward, but I'd prefer to have this work with NetworkManager, because wvdial doesn't allow me to measure data usage20:28
CysiolandBut I have quasi-unlimited data package available20:28
* teward yawns20:28
CysiolandSo I'll just use up all my credit20:28
tewardCysioland: to be honest: i'm not a feature request handler person20:28
CysiolandTop up20:28
tewardi'm also not a person who handles the network manager package, i only work with general triage20:28
CysiolandAnd activate that quasi-unlimited20:28
tewardand certain server packages20:29
tewardwhether you need it to work with something or not is not my concern :)20:29
teward(nor do I particularly care about the specifics about why you need something to work with networkmanager or not)20:29
tewardjust saying :)20:29
Cysiolandteward, I was able to monitor it with modem-manager-gui, but it doesn't work, and I didn't ask you specifically, I just commented about the patience fact.20:29
tewardwell patience is *still* a virtue20:29
CysiolandAnd I wanted to make sure, that it's all good in launchpad to help "right people" find this more quicker20:29
tewardother triagers or developers will see it20:29
Cysiolandteward, and how can I mention a possibly realted bug, but from older release?20:29
tewardstate that there's a potentially related bug in a comment20:30
tewardand link to said related bug20:30
Cysiolandteward, m'kay, done20:30
Cysiolandteward, I see launchpad is kinda complicated bug tracker20:31
tewardnot really, i've seen far more complex20:31
tewardand far simpler too20:31
CysiolandOkay, I'll go, so as not to litter this channel20:33
melodiehi21:46
melodieI just reported https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/obconf/+bug/151070921:46
ubot5Launchpad bug 1510709 in obconf (Ubuntu) "In Wily Obconf 1:2.0.4 pulls in tons of not needed packagess" [Undecided,New]21:46
dschoenI'm running in to a handful of bugs in the Kubuntu 15.10 installer. From https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Bugs/Reporting it looks like I should be using *some* part of Launchpad but I'm not clear which, it's suggested to ask here for assistance23:21
dschoenTwo of the bugs are in the GUI portion of the installer relating to Disk setup (partman?) and the other two are before even loading the install process (the bit that loads kernels off the ISO, I have no idea what component this is)23:23
