lars_CBOh well, just wondering how to modify the keymap in Xfce - got a fairly morose windows key sitting here, all gloomy and as useless as wheels on a parakeet.19:50

desiworm:< help23:26
desiwormi can't get qjackctl to find my behringer xenyx 1204usb in the connections menu23:27
desiwormalsa finds it fine, but i need to route my audio output to my speakers in ardour, while using the usb mixer as an input23:27
OvenWerksdesiworm: which version of ubuntustudio?23:27
desiwormthe most current, as far as I know23:28
desiwormi downloaded the ISO, like, a month ago maybe?23:28
OvenWerksok23:28
OvenWerksyou are talking about using two Audio devices which is generally not done in Jack23:29
OvenWerksYou would need to use zita-a2j/j2a for the other sound device23:29
OvenWerksin a terminal type: arecord -l23:30
OvenWerks-l is a lower case L23:30
OvenWerksit will tell you what the name of your USB audio IF is.23:30
desiwormalright, and zita-a2j/j2a should add channels to help reroute the sound?23:32
OvenWerksyes.23:32
OvenWerksfor example: zita-a2j -j ${AI2}-in -d hw:${AI2} -r $RATE -p $FRAME -n $PERIOD &23:32
OvenWerkszita-a2j -j usbinput -d hw:USB -r 48000 -p 1024 -n 2 &23:34
OvenWerksdesiworm: Please note that zita-a2j has to do resampling because your USB IF and your internal IF will have slightly different sample rates even though they are set the same. But zita-a2j/j2a has some of the very best resampling around.23:40
desiwormYES! that fixed it23:42
desiwormtook me a minute to get the device name right23:42
desiwormthank you so much :D23:42
desiwormhm, well, i have input now, but no output through the headphones i'm using :\23:43
desiwormscratch that, i didn't have it routed correctly.23:48
OvenWerksdesiworm: great. Have fun.23:56
