Guest57798hello again00:00
knomehello00:01
ubikitehi, i want to disable screensaver completely. i'm using 14.04.03. tried modifying ~/.xscreensaver and /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc. didn't help. any suggestions?12:04
cfhowlettubikite, sudo apt-get purge xscreensaver12:05
ubikitecfhowlett: http://paste.ubuntu.com/13475431/12:07
cfhowlettubikite, cool!12:07
ubikitebut screensaver works, not cool ;)12:09
cfhowlettubikite, eh?  WHAT screensaver is working???12:09
ubikitecfhowlett: it's a vanilla installation. i've not made any configurations on installation. i'm not sure which screensaver is running. all that i can see is screen goes blank in login screen and X session. i think it's about ACPI options when booting kernel but i don't want to disable them.12:19
cfhowlettubikite, no xscreensaver, no screensaver.  as of 14.04, lightlocker will blank the screen, however.12:20
ubikiteok, rephrasing the question. it's putting display to sleep. what configuration do i have to make to disable once and for all.12:35
cfhowlettI have no idea.  sorry.12:37
cfhowlettPower settings?  display settings?12:37
ubikiteok, another question. where's xorg.conf file in xubuntu?12:58
knomeubikite, by default, there is none12:59
