cjwatsonmwhudson: I made a start on git-build-recipe a while back, but it's not in a workable state yet ...00:10
cjwatson(with the intention of presenting as close to the same interface as possible, unlike gbp)00:11

clivejoI use a password manager to log into Ubuntu One, but it keeps denying access saying Im a bot.  Does it detect how fast the password is typed into the form?15:30
dobeythe form has hidden data in the form submission to prevent bot spam, so your password manager extension is probably submitting the form without that extra data15:32
clivejoits the same form15:32
clivejojust the browser plugin inserts the username and password15:33
clivejoLaunchpad is the only site I have issues with15:33
clivejoeven if I manually "copy and paste" the password, it does it15:35
dobeyyou probably have another extension which is breaking the form then15:37
dobeythe internal pw manager in both chromium and firefox work fine for me on signing into u1. if you have noscript or some other similar extension, it's likely breaking the form.15:37
dobeytry disabling some such extensions15:38
carakaAn observation as opposed to a complaint - Launchpad is moving slower than mollasses at the moment. 45 minutes it sat at "pending build in 10 min" and now the 30 minute build has been going for 20 minutes but still has 47 minutes to go?19:34
dobeyhttps://launchpad.net/builders19:38
dobeycaraka: i guess you're complaining about arm64 builds?19:45
carakaI'm not really complaining, but all the builds are slow - amd64 i386 armhf19:46
carakajust wonderng if anything was up. they are building after all, I've simply never seen it build so slowly19:46
dobeylooks like half the virtualized builders are offline19:46
dobeyso if this is in a personal PPA, then that's probably why19:47
carakafair enough. a bit of resource squeeze today19:47
carakait is a personal PPA, and I'm not in any hurry19:47
=== BradCrittenden is now known as bac
carakabut yeah - the arm build which is always slow say complete in 9 hours, lol19:48
carakaand thanks for that link dobey - I've never seen that page before19:50
tewarddobey: so the PPA builders are down then for arm?  Not the repo builders?19:51
dobeyteward: yes, the non-virtualized builders for the archive are all running, just busy (you can see on the builders page)19:51
tewardwell, I can't see, because my phone is derp with loading the page19:52
dobeyi'm not sure why the lcy01 virt builders are all down19:52
tewardhence the question :)19:52
carakaThe summary:  176 available build machines, 47 disabled and 67 building of a total of 223 registered.19:53
dobeyteward: get an ubuntu phone ;)19:54
tewarddobey: E: No Money19:54
tewarddobey: unless you've offered to send me one from the US markets for zero cost?  :P19:54
teward(the load issue is the wifi, not the phone)19:55
dobeythere are no us market phones yet :P19:55
tewardthen i won't be able to get an Ubuntu phone :)19:55
dobeydo you have a nexus 4?19:55
carakaI have been tempted to buy one from the Chinese market, tbh19:56
tewarddobey: unfortunately not19:56
carakaI want one. and the dual sim slot for travel19:56
dobeyi run it on my nexus 5, but ubuntu on a nexus 5 isn't for everyone19:56
tewarddobey: tempted to but work keeps giving me iphones19:56
tewardso meh19:56
tewardstill doesn't fix the wifi problem here :P19:56
tewardin any case, thanks for the response, guess I'll hold off on uploads to my arm-enabled PPAs for a while19:57
carakateward: the time to completion of my arm builds has been dropping like a rock as we talked. maybe the sqeeze is over19:58
dobeyteward: eh, holding off isn't going to get them built any sooner :P19:58
tewarddobey: no, but it means there's 6 less packages in the build queue20:00
tewardgot a ZNC upload to the ZNC PPA today, thanks to Debian fixing the Lintian issue I brought up :p20:01
teward(the issue in the znc package, not Lintian itself)20:01
ki7mtHello All, I need to make PPA private for developer testing only, is this possible without it being a commercial type PPA?20:21
dobeyno it requires a commerical license to do that20:24
dobeyis it not for an open source project?20:24
ki7mtThe app source code is open source, we're just having some issues with users not understanding what non released / development builds are v.s. supported production builds.20:26
ki7mtI can disable the PPA for the time being, that will solve the problem for sure but was just checking to see if there were alternative methods.20:28
tewarddeveloper testing as in test building, right?20:29
tewardoop i should've said nothing :)20:30
* teward goes back to the shadows20:30
dobeyki7mt: it won't solve the problem20:35
dobeyki7mt: the right way to solve the problem is to have CI such that all commits are well tested and do not create situations where things break.20:36
ki7mtdobey, :-) .. that part I don't have much control over. We already have a Released Version PPA, this particular PPA was for experimental testing anyway.20:38
dobeythen the best you can do is name it something that indicates its possible instability, and state that it's unstable in the PPA description20:39
ki7mtYes, agreed, that's what I've done. I can use pbuilder / sbuild or whatever to test packaging locally for now. Thanks for the info.20:42
