=== shadeslayer_ is now known as shadeslayer [09:51] guys, in launchpad, i want to translate a certain project, but i see translations as closed [09:51] Translation policy [09:51] how to translate this project then ? [10:36] Hi, I deleted a package [1] from a PPA [2] but it's still present [3] and being picked up by apt. How can I remove it entirely? [1] python-django [2] https://launchpad.net/~jonathonf/+archive/ubuntu/backports [3] http://ppa.launchpad.net/jonathonf/backports/ubuntu/pool/main/p/python-django/ [10:40] I deleted the package a week ago so it should have gone by now (according to https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA/Deleting) [10:44] I suppose I can re-create the PPA, rebuilding packages to an intermediary PPA [10:45] jonathon: You hit a race condition between the build and the deletion. [10:45] Yay. Do I win anything? :) [10:45] The source package was deleted before the build had finished, so the binary was published after the source was deleted. [10:45] So the binary is still alive. [10:46] Ah, right [10:46] If you hit "Delete packages", change the "Published" filter to "Superseded", and then delete the already deleted source again, all should be good. [10:46] It'll drop out of apt within 20 minutes, and disappear from ppa.launchpad.net in <12h [10:47] Excellent, thank you [10:47] That's easier than hopping packages between PPAs [10:47] hay207: You need to be a member of the relevant language's translation team. [10:48] ok, but the language for that program was not even created [10:48] i.e no translation team yet [10:49] hay207: Which project and language? [10:49] btnx , arabic [10:49] The project may be using an existing translation group that already has a team for that language, even if the project doesn't have that translation yet. [10:50] https://translations.launchpad.net/btnx-config/trunk/+pots/btnx-config/ar/+details [10:50] Ah, btnx-config rather than btnx. [10:51] hay207: That project doesn't have a translation group configured. [10:51] You'll need to talk to the project's owner. [10:51] ok, thanks [11:16] Just confirming my issue was fixed. :) === oldjung is now known as oldyoungone
