[17:46] <zequence> But, why would you want to do that?
[17:46] <zequence> linux-lowlatency is the same as linux-generic, except for a few minor details, which make linux-lowlatency much better for audio
[17:49] <jarnos> zequence, I guess it is better, if I don't have such audio tasks. I read somewhere that it takes more power to run lowlatency.
[17:51] <jarnos> BTW. I tried to add xorg stuff according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack to Trusty, but it installs linux-image-generic-lts-vivid anyway.

[17:56] <zequence> jarnos: Yes, it may use a bit more power. Don't have any data on how much, or if at all, but that is what I'm told
[17:57] <zequence> jarnos: Seems like you already installed the generic kernel. When you boot, in the grub menu, select advanced options. From there you can select which kernel you want to boot
[17:57] <zequence> If you want to get rid of linux-lowlatency uninstall the meta package linux-lowlatency, then any of the -image packages that go with -lowlatency
