My reason for wanting to try it out a.s.a.p. was that there sems a bit of doubt as to if the new kernel would land by Mon 25th Jan, this being the next alpha milestone when we can go and corral testers to crawl over testing and I also wanted to have it running in 'real' life (production machine).
