[11:26] <lordievader> I thought it was a group you are in by default. Without it you could did not have access to the soundcard IIRC.
[11:27] <yofel> I think you're not in so arbitrary processes can't access the soundcard and block the mixer out. While PA is supposed to have an ACL that whitelists it
