vagrantcso, when you use an lp: address, say "bzr branch lp:epoptes", it resolves to bzr+ssh://.../epoptes ... but what about for anonymous logins?05:51
wgrantvagrantc: If you haven't run 'bzr lp-login' (or have removed the username setting from ~/.bazaar/bazaar.conf and ~/.bazaar/authentication.conf) it resolves to HTTP instead.05:54
vagrantcthere's no anonymous https access?05:55
wgrantvagrantc: There's anonymous HTTPS for git, but not for bzr at the moment.05:57
vagrantcwgrant: ok, that's good to know. didn't even know launchpad had git support.05:58
vagrantcthanks!05:58
alkisgHi, I'd like to start using git instead of bzr for my "epoptes" project on launchpad, do automatic translation imports support pushing to git?07:35
=== G is now known as Nigel
wgrantalkisg: Translations doesn't have direct support for Git at the moment. You can in some cases import using LP's git->bzr imports, but there's no built-in way to do the other direction today.08:21
wgrantIt's a simple cronjob to run yourself, though. Ask LP to export to some arbitrary bzr branch, then have a script that just replaces the files in the git repo with the latest copy from bzr.08:22
alkisgwgrant: so I can setup translations to read the templates from git, then push to bzr, and the only custom thing is then from bzr translations to git upstream?08:48
wgrantalkisg: Translations can't import directly from git, but LP can import git repositories into bzr repositories as long as you don't use submodules or gpg signatures, and then import translations from there.08:59
alkisgGotcha, thank you very much :)09:07
alkisg(again :))09:07

tewardI see that there's a "Processors:" item now on PPA edit pages, is that something new available to every user?  (I see armhf is still admin-only enablement, but I see ppc64el now)16:17
tewardnevermind, i think it's answered elsewhere, i just dno't pay attention to all my IRC chans :)16:19
cjwatsonhttp://blog.launchpad.net/ppa/ppas-for-ppc64el16:21
fingershow do I find package "libmecab2v5" on launchpad ?18:36
fingersoh... found it18:37
fingershttps://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mecab18:37
fingersjust under a different name18:37
tewardfingers: package name and source package name can differ18:38
tewardwhere libmecab2v5 is a built package, from the mecab source code18:38
fingersis this where I can file a bug report?18:38
tewardyes18:38
tewardbut also if libmecab2v5 exists on your system, `ubuntu-bug libmecab2v5` is also a way to file the bug report (it should be able to determine the source package automatically)18:39
fingersok I filed a bug report18:40
fingershttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mecab/+bug/153921318:40
ubot5Launchpad bug 1539213 in mecab (Ubuntu) "mysql-community-server wont build under xenial xerus" [Undecided,New]18:40
tewardthat's misfiled18:41
fingerslibmecab2v5 was renamed &/OR removed in ubuntu 16.04 xenial xerus18:41
fingerstherefor mysql-server wont install18:41
tewardfingers: i don't think mysql-server is mysql-community-server18:41
tewardbut not 100% certain18:41
fingersah yes I meant mysql-community-server18:42
fingerswhich is in the repo http://repo.mysql.com/18:42
tewardthat's not a launchpad bug then18:42
fingersI filed a bug report on mysql18:43
fingerssome idiot deleted it18:43
fingershttp://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=7979818:43
fingersthe bug is in fact that the package libmecab2v5 was renamed &/OR removed in ubuntu 16.04 xenial xerus18:43
fingersas you can clearly see in my bug report apt-get output18:44
tewardit's not an Ubuntu bug then, so therefore it doesn't belong in a bug on Launchpad18:44
dobeyit's not an ubuntu bug18:44
tewardmysql has to fix their repository packages' dependencies18:44
tewarddobey: indeed (invalid already by my hand)18:44
fingersand they wont18:44
fingersbecause they are idiots18:44
dobeyyou're trying to install something from mysql on a version of ubuntu that isn't released, which i'm sure they don't support yet, because it's not released18:44
teward^ that18:44
dobeydon't call people names, please18:45
fingersits a fair assesment because the bug was clearly shown in my report18:45
fingersand they deleted my bug report18:45
dobeywell obviously it's not deleted; i can see it just fine18:46
fingersUmesh Umesh said and I quote "it works fine on 15.10"18:46
dobeyyes18:46
dobeywhich it does18:46
fingersbut I am not running 15.10 I am running 16.0418:46
dobeybut it's still not an ubuntu problem18:46
fingersit is........ because 16.04 xenial xerus which is under devel18:47
dobeyyour problem is that mysql.com doesn't provide support for 16.04 which is not yet released18:47
fingershas renamed or removed libmecab2v518:47
tewardfingers: no, it's *NOT* an ubuntu problem18:48
tewardread my post to the mysql bug18:48
tewardmysql has to fix the depends for the 16.04 version of the package18:48
fingersare you Umesh Umesh ?18:49
tewardbecause the issue is in the mysql-community-server package, NOT Ubuntu18:49
dobeywell the package has a Replaces: too18:49
dobeyso it should just work, but *shrug*18:49
dobeyi don't know what the mysql upstream package builds are like18:49
fingersteward are you Umesh Umesh ?18:49
=== marcoceppi is now known as marcoceppi|airpl
tewardfingers: whois helps you know, read my name, im' the one who posted on the bug today18:50
tewardand you can stop about this here, it's not an Ubuntu issue18:50
fingerswhy was libmecab2v5 renamed or removed in 16.0418:50
fingersno one has answered that question18:50
dobeyand even if it was an ubuntu issue, #ubuntu is the channel for help on ubuntu18:50
dobeythis channel is for help on launchpad.net itself18:50
dobeyread the changelog18:51
dobeyit clearly states18:51
fingersoh....... found it18:51
fingershttp://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/libmecab2v518:51
fingersthis is now a "Virtual Package"18:51
fingersthey dropped the v5 now its just libmecab218:52
fingersso mysql has to update its depends18:52
fingers*shrugs*18:52
fingersif you navigate to18:53
fingershttp://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/libmecab218:53
fingersand look on the side for "bug reports" it links to launchpad18:53
fingersgo figure........18:53
dobeyyes, launchpad is the site where ubuntu hosts it's bug18:53
fingersanyways fuck it... I am done with all this bullshit18:54
dobeylaunchpad however is not the site that provides technical support for ubuntu18:54
dobeywell, at least that's over with i guess18:54
tewarddobey: for now (i have a nagging feeling they or someone else like them will be back)18:59
tewardanyways... *goes off to poke his PPAs*18:59

naccanyone else noticing some latency from lp's autobuilds? normally the transition from end of build to published and available is ~10 minutes. But my last one is sitting at 39 minutes still. And a build I just submitted was niether accepted/rejected via email, although dput reported no errors?21:06
cjwatsonnacc: Some non-critical jobs are currently disabled to make way for a database schema change.21:14
cjwatsonnacc: (At least, I requested such a deployment earlier today, and I infer from logs that it's in progress)21:14
nacccjwatson: ah! ok ... sigh, that hurts my php7 transition work, but i can workaround it locally! thanks!21:14
cjwatsonnacc: It shouldn't take too much longer.21:14
nacccjwatson: np, i can pass debs to sbuild to at least have everything staged for when it's back21:14
