koapshi all20:40
koapsdoes anyone know if there's a way to run this command "dpkg-reconfigure maas-region-controller" so that it doesn't open a prompt? IE I want to script it.20:41
roaksoaxkoaps: what do you need to reconfigure the maas-region-controller for ?20:52
koapsroaksoax: the IP it uses for MAAS isn't the one we want to use21:00
roaksoaxkoaps: so that IP is not really all that relevant anymore21:01
roaksoaxkoaps: the cluster controller determines which IP to give to the controllers, if none is being set, or determined, that one is used21:01
roaksoaxkoaps: so as long as your cluster controller points to the correct IP, you should be ok21:02
koapsthe cluster controllers have multiple interfaces, the one it lists as the http://x.x.x.x/MAAS url isn't the interface we use for our PXE network, so we reconfigure it to use the right one21:03
koapsthe region server and the controller that is21:03
roaksoaxok21:04
roaksoaxkoaps: you using 1.9 ?21:04
koapsya21:04
roaksoaxkoaps: you could just use: maas-region-admin local_config_set21:05
roaksoaxkoaps: and maas-provision config21:05
roaksoaxkoaps:  sudo maas-region local_config_set --maas-url21:05
roaksoaxkoaps:  sudo maas-region-admin local_config_set --maas-url21:06
roaksoaxsudo maas-provision config --region-url21:06
koapswould those use the full URL? I know when I do reconfigure for maas-region-controller it just asks for the IP21:07
koapsi can try it, thanks for the commands21:08
roaksoaxkoaps:  yes, full url, for example:  sudo maas-region local_config_set --maas-url http://192.168.10.2/MAAS21:08
koapsawesome, thanks21:09

stormmoreI think I may be missing something, when I turn my machine on MAAS isn’t registering it and turning it off23:06
stormmoreI do see it PXE boot though23:06
stormmorefor some reason it is trying to access http://169.254.169.254/ which I assume means it is a DNS issue?23:08
stormmoreI figured it out, forgot to put a gateway ip to my maas management network23:37
