bshahmariogrip: it has worked before, yes.. thing is earlier we used to take up tarball from cdimage.ubuntu.com for rootfs and now we wanted to start using livebuild for building rootfs.12:38
bshahit worked for vivid but it never worked for xenial12:38
bshah(with similar config)12:38
mariogripxenial is gcc5 btw12:39
bshahright, yes.. same packages work if we mangle cdimage.ubuntu.com tarball.. but that method is hack and needs to be changed12:40

mptjgdx, hi, is there a bug report covering the lack of scrolling in dialogs? (for example VPN)13:39
jgdxmpt, scrolling works, but it's kinda broken.13:40
jgdxby kinda broken I mean it's not a flickable13:42
=== alan_g|lunch is now known as alan_g
mptjgdx, so is the only issue that it isn’t a Flickable by default?13:44
jgdxmpt, yes, or maybe it is a flickable, but it's not elastic, so painful to scroll. And it's not indicating when you've reached end or top.13:45
jgdxmpt, also, shouldn't the Action Buttons* be glued to the bottom of this scrollable panel/on the top of the OSK if active?13:46
mptjgdx, ok, so two problems then: (1) the action area (non-scrollable part for buttons) isn’t implemented and (2) the body area doesn’t scroll normally or show that you’re at the top/bottom13:49
jgdxmpt, yes.13:50
mptjgdx, so (2) will be a sequel to bug 137676313:57
ubot5bug 1376763 in ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu RTM) "[sdk] Dialog doesn't take the contents size into consideration" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/137676313:57

mike00I've got a problem with my ubuntu phone, someone can help me?16:20
mike00the GPS doesn't work...16:21
mike00on a Bq Aquaris E4.516:21
ogra_mike00, check under the battery settings there is an additional switch for GPS16:22
ogra_might be thats off16:22
pmcgowanwhich doesnt do anything actually afaik16:22
pmcgowanmike00, do you have the normal shipping image?16:22
mike00wich map app should I use?16:41
mike00which*16:42
dobeythe one that works best for you16:42
dobeyunav will be included by default in the next OTA update though, i think16:42
mike00I uninstalled it..16:42
mike00do you have any problems with the GPS on Aquaris E4.5?16:44
dobeyi don't have an e4.516:46
dobeymike00: do you have the phone up to date with system updates?16:46
mike00ok...16:46
mike00yes, I've got OTA 9.116:47
dobeyi have a nexus 5, and gps works ok for me on it now16:47
dobeypmcgowan: ^^ there's the answer to your question :)16:47
mike00Ubuntu 15.0416:47
mike00but is correct I don't have yet ubuntu 15.10 on my phone?16:48
dobeyyes it's correct16:48
dobeythe phone releases do not follow the normal ubuntu release schedule16:49
mike00the next update will be 15.10 or 16.04?16:49
dobeyso basically, you can ignore that it says 15.0416:49
pmcgowanmike00, do you have the Here support enabled?16:49
dobeyneither; the next update will be the phone image16:49
mike00?16:49
ogra_mike00, the phone development happens in its own archive16:50
mike00I didn't see it...16:50
dobeythat. the 15.04 on the phone is not the same 15.04 that one might have installed on a PC16:50
ogra_15.04 just says when that archive was forked off the normal distro16:50
ogra_at some point after the 16.04 release it will get re-based on 16.04 ... probably in 6 months or so16:51
ogra_(and stay on 16.04 for a while again)16:51
ogra_just ignore the ubuntu version16:51
mike00ok16:51
dobeymike00: if you go into location settings, is it set to use GPS only, or to use wifi/cell assistance as well? or is it set to off?16:51
mike00I tried both of them, but now i have to go16:52
mike00bye16:52

jlkon13Hello, I am currently porting the ubuntu touch recovery to my tablet but i have a few issues: the screen looks like this https://ibin.co/2bGVFHt2KyPT.jpg ; i suppose the problem has something to do with the display orientation because the image is split (but i am not sure). after two seconds the screen turns off and the same happens again and again; previously I tried porting the cwm recovery from cyanogenmod source 18:17
greybackjlkon13: looks... interesting. I'd suggest you stop lightdm and unity-system-compositor, install "mir-demos" and test if mir_demo_server and a mir client functions18:25
greybackoh, it's the recovery.18:25
greybacksorry, I've no idea about the recovery image18:26
jlkon13yes, it is a rockchip 3066 device (maybe that helps …)18:26
dobeymariogrip: hey. any idea why when i choose "reboot" on the power menu on hammerhead, it doesn't want to actually reboot?18:46
