[13:34] yes [13:34] Guest60487, linux mint isn't a supported OS here, and for 16.04 help join #ubuntu+1, just to be clear [13:35] well, i can go to any of those channels, i just thought that what i need to find out is: what are the conditions to grey out the continue button on the kubuntu installer? [13:36] it's still the 16.04 installer which may have it's own issues [13:36] yes, it's beta 2 :) [13:37] i'll go to ubuntu+1, thanks [13:38] altho i do run 16.04 , I haven't seen your problem , other than not downloading 3rd party packages during the install, i always wait until the OS is installed first before updating and upgrading [13:40] i try not selecting them, but i still cannot click on continue [13:40] there must be an IF in code :) [13:41] Guest60487, is this from a USB or DVD? [13:41] The only time I was stuck on the installer was with physical HW, and it was because I was trying to connect to a WEP-encrypted wireless during the install. [13:41] should use WPA2 [13:41] from iso mounted in the VB empty image [13:42] it boots fine to live [13:42] but when i try to install i cannot proceed [13:42] ok [13:43] VB isn't my choice for VM , like I said it's clunky [13:44] so far it was ok for me, but i am aware of the bugs :) [13:45] now dealing with a beta 2 i don't feel like blaming VB before trying to understand why the installer thinks i don't deserve to proceed with installation :) === Guest60487 is now known as cowst [13:46] I am using VMware at work, and it never detects wireless (but passes through the physical wireless and presents it to the VM as wired). [13:46] don't think it;s the installer [13:47] i am not saying the installer is broken, i am trying to understand which are the possible blockers on that step so i can play around with settings and solve it [13:47] you may be connected via wifi to your router/modem , but not the internet [13:48] such is the nature of vb/vms [13:48] no passthru === struk|desk|away is now known as struk|desk === kubuntu is now known as Guest26346 === struk|desk is now known as struk|desk|away === Alexander is now known as Guest76792 === Guest76792 is now known as AlexCPU === littlebunnyfufu is now known as SonikkuAmerica === littlebunnyfufu is now known as SusaNeedsABetter === SusaNeedsABetter is now known as SonikkuAmerica [16:57] ciao [16:57] list! === che is now known as Guest75834 [17:20] https://www.meetic.it/unlogged/landing/2015/11/05/landing-image-3steps-geo-psc-mosaic-mix/?mtcmk=048738&fsid=080&programId=11108&tduid=3e4f296da1060016abed74557200a223&affId=2320499&ge_id=17119616&ktid=0&klid=6274&tckka=160325181843659044&tckvs=160301192718523803 [17:32] hello. [19:45] there is an option to get new effects, try those [19:46] the problem i got is that the screen flashes when I open or close apps, i read that i previous versions the way to solve this was to disable effects [19:47] hi [19:47] well you can disable copositor for fullscreen apps [19:47] can't wait new kubuntu with plasma 5 :-) [19:47] czeslaw: hiho, 1 month left :) [19:48] Thatoneguy, in system serttings>display and monitor>cxompositor [19:48] compositor [19:50] thank, it works [19:51] !cookie | soee_ [19:51] soee_: Wow!
