[10:02] stacy-: The Ubuntu Studio you see in the software center is a mix of packages which you can use to turn any Ubuntu flavor into Ubuntu Studio [10:02] i have ubuntu desktop now [10:02] stacy-, sudo add-apt-repository ppa:obsproject/obs-studio [10:02] sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install obs-studio [10:02] stacy-: http://www.ubuntu.com/about/about-ubuntu/flavours [10:02] i need something easy to get it workng [10:02] Have a play with it [10:03] stacy-: You don't need Ubuntu Studio. [10:10] OHH MY this is smexy [10:10] TheHackOps, I don't think so thus the "new and improved" version 2. As I understand it, Openshot was rebuilt to exploit QT goodies [10:10] its obs 0.13.1 [10:10] is this the one you use thehackops [10:10] cfhowlett, Being a Qt developer myself I might just exploit it more [10:11] * TheHackOps goes digging in the source code [10:11] please do! When i connect (USB DAC) it shows up hotplugged as an analog device, and via cold boot both analog and digital (Q-AMP). They flash on and off, and if you click it quick enough it'll output, and 5-10 seconds later it'll start to crackle [10:46] and become inaudible [13:49] ren0v0: Did you try it with jack? [13:49] For any pulseaudio related problems, you could try #pulseaudio [13:49] As for jack #jack [13:50] Both use ALSA as backend, so could be your device is not well supported. [13:50] Found your forum post. [13:50] You could also try sending a post to the linux audio user mail list [13:54] zequence, thanks, yea i had some help over at #lad, i'll get my forum post updated with a lot more info as soon as i get the time, i've ordered a replacement device to rule that out, but would like to keep it if its still faulty and work through the issue, it seems great value [17:38] I was wondering if anyone still used irc [17:40] "Yes." [17:41] good to know [23:06] test
