Also, I have a question about or on using an alternative player to the Adobe Flash Player for viewing cartoons and videos online. I know that the A F P is the standard player used on the net on a lot of sites and I also know that Linux (I'm using Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon Raefella) does not support it. Also, I have downloaded and installed the VLC Media Player. So, my question is: Is it possible to link the [18:23] VLC M P to any website or any other player that is supported by Linux? [18:25] it's kind of annoying that you would seek out ubuntu channels for your Mint problems, is their IRC channel that bad? [18:25] use pepperflash with chrome, job done [18:27] there is no need to attempt any external player in browser malarkey [18:31] daftykins: Hi. Also, I would not have entered this channel/room to ask my question if there had been more people in the #linux-chat + #linux-help channel/room other than me and also I am using the Opera browser/search engine and not Chrome/Google (Linux does not support that browser/search engine)! : ) [18:32] !mint [18:32] Linux Mint is not a supported derivative of Ubuntu. Please seek support in #linuxmint-help on irc.spotchat.org [18:32] Welshman: you're on the wrong network. [18:32] Welshman: yes it does support chrome [18:33] daftykins: So, if you do not mind I will wait for a few minutes to see is another person can answer my question. Thanks. : ) [18:33] you have been misinformed [18:33] Welshman: but i already answered it with fact... you've just been misinformed [18:34] opera is also practically chrome now, so you can install pepperflash and it'll work too. [18:34] !info pepperflashplugin-nonfree [18:34] pepperflashplugin-nonfree (source: pepperflashplugin-nonfree): Pepper Flash Player - browser plugin. In component multiverse, is optional. Version 1.8.2ubuntu1 (xenial), package size 10 kB, installed size 41 kB (Only available for i386; amd64) [18:34] Welshman: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree [18:34] i'd advise going to support for the distribution you use in future, though === brmbrmca1 is now known as brmbrmcar === WillMoogle_ is now known as WillMoogle [19:11] a wild penguin42 ! o/ [19:11] daftykins + lubotu3: Hi.
