Well done to all those involved! === mike_ is now known as Guest57329 === eu is now known as Guest41967 [12:28] hello [12:30] does Someone know how I can install a indicator for my music players (rhythmbox e spotify) like in ubuntu 14.04? [12:50] hey Guest41967 [12:51] Guest41967, you mean the sound indicator with the drop down menu of your players? [12:59] yes [13:00] the sound indicator now only show the volume bar :( [13:24] I found it. It is a new panel indicator that can be add to panel -.- [13:24] it should be the default [13:27] I have another question: how to hide the top bar(title) of firefox when it is maximized? [13:32] I found it too! [13:32] thanks! [13:38] ^^ [13:39] Guest41967, just use 14.04? :) [13:39] it will be supported until may 2019 or something like that [13:40] I use 16.04 [13:40] are you sure you have the indicator applet on a panel? [13:40] maybe its just not there by default [13:41] Akuli, his problem is fixed already [13:41] oh :) [13:41] i'm reading an old irc log [13:41] Akuli, you're going off the public log? :) [13:41] Okay ^^ [13:41] yep [13:42] seems like its updated once an hour [13:42] so it would be about 40 minutes late now [13:43] He found the solution to his problem himself [13:43] Which is good, 'cause I'd nodded off [14:02] good day people [14:02] Hi Edve [14:26] I tried Mate for the first time this year and I really like it. [14:34] o/ [14:39] Is there a tool for Mate that sets up a search for programs on a key stroke (e.g. Windows key)? [14:40] You can set up synapse to trigger on Windows+Space, it's what I've done [14:40] I don't think it's possible to register a shortcut just on the Windows key alone though I might be wrong. [14:40] is it used as a switch key? [14:40] To enable Synapse, go to MATE Tweak -> Panel Features and check "Enable launcher" [14:41] you can set up a windows key shortcut if you don't use the 'advanced mate menu' [14:41] erle-, I'm not sure [14:43] erle-, the Alt+F2 box has some autocompletion, maybe you want that? [14:44] Thanks for your hints, I will check. === victor is now known as Guest6181 === kevin is now known as Guest13979 [20:58] * Topic for #ubuntu-mate is: Home of Ubuntu MATE | https://ubuntu-mate.org/ | Community https://ubuntu-mate.community/ | Donate https://ubuntu-mate.org/donate/ | IRC Logs http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/ [20:58] * Topic for #ubuntu-mate set by flexiondotorg!~flexiondo@archlinux/trusteduser/flexiondotorg (Tue May 17 05:18:38 2016) [20:58] -ChanServ- [#ubuntu-mate] Welcome to #ubuntu-mate. [23:14] new to Ubuntu MATE [23:15] I have used Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Mint, and maybe a few others before [23:15] k [23:15] running Ubuntu MATE 32bit on an netbook [23:15] *an old netbook - Gateway LT28 [23:17] quick question though - do I need to change a setting for Ethernet connection to be the priority over Wireless? [23:19] I don't think such a setting exists [23:19] ok, I can just disable WiFi then for now [23:20] I'd be curious to know if such a thing is possible though, maybe I'll ask on the forums later [23:21] sounds good - I like having it set that way for sure [23:22] Have you used Ubuntu MATE for very long? [23:24] Well, not really. I've started switching my machines over from gnome-session-fallback back when 16.04 was in Alpha2. Before that I had setup my mother's laptop on Ubuntu MATE 14.04 [23:24] ah, ok - how did your mother like it? [23:24] and what was she used to previously? [23:29] rebooting
