netphreak | Hi, guys! | 07:41 |
---|---|---|
cjwatson | 14:20 <ogra_> cjwatson, so whom do i have to bribe to have s390x for https://code.launchpad.net/~snappy-dev/+snap/ubuntu-core ? (the setup page just talks about "Admins" ) | 09:48 |
cjwatson | ogra_: done | 09:48 |
netphreak | What's the status on Ubuntu Core in RPI 3? | 10:08 |
ogra_ | cjwatson, thanks (building) :) | 10:54 |
ogra_ | yay ... and auto uploads work too ! | 11:01 |
ogra_ | (to bad that type:os is auto-blocked and i now get spammend for every upload :P ) | 11:09 |
ogra_ | cjwatson, hmm, something seems still wrong, it failed to build but i dont see a build log | 11:16 |
ogra_ | https://code.launchpad.net/~snappy-dev/+snap/ubuntu-core/+build/2539 | 11:16 |
cjwatson | ogra_: The lack of log is a slight exception-catching problem in launchpad-buildd, fixed in my local tree now. The actual problem looks like a firewall bug though; seems that the s390x builders can't talk to snap-proxy.launchpad.net. File a bug on launchpad-buildd and I'll look into it when it's work time. | 13:03 |
ogra_ | cjwatson, will do, thanks for checking | 13:11 |
kevinmcquown | does anyone on this channel know if ubuntu core supports access to the gpio pins on a raspberry pi 2 ? I am looking to access the uart pins to communicate with another microcontroller. | 14:14 |
ali1234 | kevinmcquown: there is no interface for that yet | 14:29 |
kevinmcquown | ok, unfortunate that ubuntu core is targeted to embedded internet of things devices but doesn't still support simple communication to other hardware devices using serial, i2c or spi | 14:31 |
kevinmcquown | I'm guessing this will have to be resolved and supported by LTS 16 release in a couple of months? | 14:32 |
kevinmcquown | I do see under snapcraft.io > interfaces a reference to serial-port, where the description says "Can access serial ports. This is restricted because it provides privileged access to configure serial port hardware." | 14:33 |
lool | ogra_: yeah I had followed your work on the updated series 16 image, I'll likely use it – thanks for that! – but I was also looking for a corresponding pi2 image | 14:50 |
ogra_ | lool, http://people.canonical.com/~mvo/all-snaps/16/ has the pi2 equivalent | 14:51 |
lool | ogra_: yep, seen that too first | 14:51 |
lool | i have all of them here including the server rpi2 image | 14:51 |
