=== ochosi_ is now known as ochosi [09:58] I down loaded the latest version of xubuntu and now my web cam viewing does not work. I am very poor at doing things here so where do I go to find what I need to make it work again [14:22] Is there a way to disable the warning about "security updates for your current Hardware Enablement Stack ended..."? [14:40] Hi guy, can anyone tell me how I can install the xubuntu restricted extras without flash? [14:40] guys [14:40] Hi, I'm using Xubuntu 16.04 over a PC with Intel HD 4600 and a R9 280X. I want to use two monitors, using one graphic card per one monitor. Its works, but when I install catalyst, the intel card doesnt work. The funniest is that when Xubuntu its loading, the intel card shows the xubuntu logo. Thanks [14:40] xubunturookie, why would you want to install it without flash, or in other words, what in the package do you *want* to install? [14:40] everything except flash [14:41] I heard it's not safe [14:41] and outdated [14:42] if you're not going to isntall all the extras, it's best to only install what you need, so what is it you are missing? [14:43] Everything to be honest. Since the restricted extras are not available in the Gnome Software center :-( [15:30] you can use synaptics [15:30] *synaptic [15:30] StayaSinic, they are long gone. [15:30] sorry [16:56] Hello [16:56] is xubuntu optmized for laptop or desktop [17:00] it works well with both [17:01] you use it with that [17:01] what [17:03] laptops and desktops. [17:05] ok [17:05] thanks [17:31] Hello [17:49] Ok, I installed xubuntu, what's next [17:49] enjoy? [17:49] :D [17:49] Any recommendations [17:49] ...enjoy? [17:50] that's not a recommendation [17:50] those are http://howtoubuntu.org/things-to-do-after-installing-ubuntu-14-04-trusty-tahr [17:50] any way, thanks [17:50] i don't think there are anyhing you "need to do" after installing [17:50] ok [17:50] there is* [17:51] what are you planning to do with your computer? [17:52] not much [17:53] okay. in that case, there's even less things you need to do before start doing... whatever you are not doing much [17:56] newxubuntuuser, default Xubuntu installation pretty much covers all the basics, when you feel like you are missing something, then do a research for a good app/solution and go on with.. enjoying your system :) [17:58] weird [17:58] The network icon says I'm not connected to the internet, but I am. [18:02] I guess I had similar issue just after the installation. After first reboot it was gone. === azeam_afk is now known as azeam [22:35] Hey! In which file do I add commands I want to run at login? .bashrc don't seem to work well enough [22:37] jvtbatman, .profile is run at login [22:37] .bashrc is run whenever bash is started [22:38] Yeah, that was my thought. .profile doesn't exist right now but it will be ran if I create it and relog right? [22:38] should be [22:39] Alright, thank you! === GridCube_ is now known as GridCube
