brendandneith, what issue are you facing?09:26
neithbrendand: i'm running conjure-up openstack, it triggers the deployment of a node, the node reboots, intalls a bunch of stuff, and the conjure-up script waits forever saying bootstrapping09:27
neithI tried to manually ssh the node to bootstrap it manually, no more luck09:27
neithI waited > 20min09:28
brendandneith, whats the status in maas (of the nodes)?09:28
neithbrendand: deployed09:28
brendandneith, ok. i'm not too familiar with conjure-up so i don't know what it's doing after that09:29
brendandneith, what about juju status?09:29
neithbrendand: what do you mean exactly?09:30
brendandneith, i guess what it's doing at that point is juju bootstrap09:31
neithbrendand: indeed09:31
neithI ssh to the node09:31
neithjuju is not even installed09:32
neithI manually installed it09:32
neithbut then nothing more09:32
neithI'm gonna try to manually bootstrap the node09:33
neithbut the juju2 doc is really light09:34
mupBug #1618847 opened: MAAS install fails, problem with database <MAAS:New> <https://launchpad.net/bugs/1618847>11:37
PCdudeThis question came from me, if there is any extra info u need please ask11:39
PCdudemup:  here is the stackexchange question: http://askubuntu.com/questions/818368/maas-1-9-4-install-fails-on-ubuntu-14-04-caused-by-a-database-failure11:40
mupPCdude: Roses are red, violets are blue, and I don't understand what you just said.11:40
PCdudewell the bug report is sended was uploaded by me, I dont know who is gonna look at the issue, but for question how the error occured or something like that. u can ask here too11:41
PCdudemup:  I hope that is clear :)11:43
mupPCdude: I really wish I understood what you're trying to do.11:43
PCdudemup:  nevermind then, I dont know how else to tell u11:44
mupPCdude: Unknown commands are unknown.11:44

neithis there a way to delay the time the openstack-install waits for the installation of landscape?12:34
neithit takes about 5min for our servers to boot12:34
neithbefore pxe12:34
neithso i'm not sure the default value is enough12:34
roaksoaxneith: juju 2.0 or 1.25.x ?12:40
neithroaksoax: 1.9412:41
neithmaas 1.9412:41
roaksoaxneith: so maas doesn't care how long it takes12:41
roaksoax(well it does if install is more than 40 mins)12:41
roaksoaxneith: so this is juju if you installing openstack with maas:  bootstrap-timeout:12:42
roaksoaxis a config option12:42
neithroaksoax: ok i'll take a look12:42
neithroaksoax: can it be passd through the openstack-install script?12:43
roaksoaxneith: TBH, i don't know12:43
neithroaksoax: so you advise me to manually bootstrap juju?12:44
roaksoaxneith: i'm not12:45
neithany verbose mode to openstack-install script?12:45
roaksoaxneith: you are using Autopilot or using conjure-up ?12:46
neithAutopilot12:46
roaksoaxneith: i have not played with autopilot lately so I dunno how to tell it to increase the timeout12:46
roaksoaxneith: i can't see anyone from that team around12:46
neithroaksoax: the error is12:48
neithBootstrap agent installed\nERROR saving bootstrap endpoint address: failed12:48
PCdudeneith:  what ubuntu version are u using?12:49
neithPCdude: trusty12:49
neithPCdude: I gave up with xenial12:49
PCdudeneith:  I sadly have to agree on xenial.....12:50
PCdudeneith: but u could install 1.9.4 on ubuntu trusty without any problem?12:50
neithPCdude: yep12:51
PCdudewtf, I cant get that to work....12:51
PCdudeI just use 14.04.4 and install MAAS nothing more or less12:51
PCdudebut it does not work12:51
neithPCdude: what does not work12:53
PCdudehttp://askubuntu.com/questions/818368/maas-1-9-4-install-fails-on-ubuntu-14-04-caused-by-a-database-failure12:53
neithare you reaching the web ui?12:53
PCdudeneith:  not even close haha12:54
neithPCdude: I installed the distro12:54
neiththen manually added maas12:55
neithnot used the maas installer on the ISO12:55
PCdudeneith: did the same thing12:55
neithwhat "service postgresql status" says?12:56
PCdudeneith:  exactly no output12:57
PCdudenot one line12:57
neithPCdude: append sudo12:57
PCdudeneith:  did that too, same result12:58
neithtry to install postgresql manually12:59
PCdudeneith: is that really a good idea?13:00
neithyes13:00
neiththen you reinstall maas13:01
PCdudeuhm ok, let me try it13:03
PCdudeneith:  this is gonna sounds strange but it depends on the amount of network interfaces somehow....13:26
PCdudethe previous installs were done on a machine with one interface13:26
PCdudeI just did it on a machine with two interfaces and it suddenly worked13:26
PCdudeI removed one network interface and boom the same error again13:26
PCdudeI am lost here.... but anyway it works13:27
neithPCdude: maybe it starts on the first interface it finds13:32

GMAzraelhow do I make sure my dhcp server is active on my rack controller?20:43
sgollerHi, I've changed an IP on my maas server connected to a subnet it's managing. However, cloud-init on nodes is still attempting to fetch metadata from the old IP. how do I get maas to refresh itself? maas shows the correct IP address everywhere I can see it in the UI23:13
