KamilionWhere's a good place for me to get information on why xen 4.7 isn't around in yakkity or xenial yet?00:00
Kamiliondoes the cloud team have their own channel somewhere?00:00
wxlKamilion: have you tried server?00:02
naccKamilion: fwiw, debian only has 4.6.0 still00:04
Kamilionnacc: thanks; I hadn't checked debian either; I was kind of expecting something bubbling around july since it was released in june, but it's september now and I havn't heard a peep from anyone over 4.700:13
KamilionI don't expect anything now that the freezes are looming either00:14
KamilionAlright, so I'll just figure on 4.8 showing up before 17.04 does and trickling down to LTS after april.00:15
KamilionMy bet is the livepatching stuff is scaring distro support off till someone can wrap their head around it00:16
wxloooh00:18
wxllivepatching?00:19
Kamiliontheir release schedule changed as well; 4.8 is supposed to be due in december00:19

jibelstgraber, Hey, how can I add xenial/arm64 to the tracker so I can trigger image builds? through the tracker or there is something else to update?10:21
LocutusOfBorginfinity, would be nice to see fpc bootstrapped in Ubuntu again :)12:59
* ogra_ is always surprised to see it still has users 12:59
* LocutusOfBorg probably ogra_ never installed hedgewars13:00
LocutusOfBorg:)13:00
ogra_yeah ... thats written iin pascal  ?13:01
LocutusOfBorgpascal, haskell, qt, c, c++ and something more13:01
ogra_geez13:01
LocutusOfBorghaskell the server parts, pascal the engine, and so on13:01
LocutusOfBorgqt the graphical13:02
ogra_is that game a programming exercise ?13:02
LocutusOfBorglol, it is a POC about how many different languages can be put together13:02
LocutusOfBorgand maintaining it is a nightmare :)13:02
ogra_hah, yeah, i can imagine13:03
LocutusOfBorgI don't have many issues, except for haskell :)13:05
ginggscjwatson: what LocutusOfBorg said above - IIRC you've done this before, should be straightforward now that fpc powerpc is installable from Debian packages13:23
cjwatsonmaybe, but bootstrapping work is strictly spare-time stuff for me nowadays13:24
cjwatsonand I'm out this weekend13:24
ginggscjwatson: oh, well have a good weekend!13:25
LocutusOfBorghave fun :)13:31
marco-parilloWith yesterday's 64-bit daily ISO in a VM. I get a blank screen with a black breeze cursor, but nothing happens. I can <ctrl> <alt> <F1> to get a tty, and can login with kubuntu and an empty password and then sudo poweroff, so I guess the OS loads but not Plasma. However, again using yesterday's ISO, I tried starting it in a new VM just after a cold boot of my physical HW. I guess the disk load was heavier so I got the i13:51
marco-parilloWhoops. Probably better for the kubuntu-devel channel.13:53
kenvandinei'm updated the ubuntu-touch seeds in the stable overlay for xenial and vivid.  Is it ok to update the yakkety seed as well?  I want to make sure that's ok during the freeze15:29

stgraberjibel: I thought we already had those products, if not, you'll need to add the product. If we have it and it's just not listed, you'll need to manually add a build through the admin UI.16:23
jibelstgraber, I added the product Ubuntu Touch arm64 for xenial daily, but then how do I request a build like other archs? is there additional setup to link to rebuild action in the tracker to launchpad builders?17:22
stgraberjibel: sorry, I'm off today so can't really look into this for you now. There is a mapping between tracker products and image building products on the image builder (nusakan) which may need updating.17:23
jibelstgraber, no problem, it can wait17:25
jibelstgraber, enjoy your time off17:25
=== Laney is now known as Lawayney
jbichaplease demote libtotem-pl-parser-videosite (from totel-pl-parser) to universe17:36
slangasekjbicha: well, there's a report for that :) http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/component-mismatches-proposed17:39
slangasek(processing)17:39
cyphermoxslangasek: could you please review ubiquity in xenial-proposed queue18:27
cyphermox?18:27
slangasekcyphermox: hmm, we're only now getting bug #1606393 landed? I thought that was already fixed18:57
ubot5bug 1606393 in ubiquity (Ubuntu) "default should be to disable Secure Boot when installing third-party drivers" [High,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/160639318:57
cyphermoxI fixed one extra usability issue19:00
jbichaI believe libquvi and libquvi-scripts should be demoted to universe too19:02
slangasekjbicha: bug #1547395?19:05
ubot5bug 1547395 in luasocket (Ubuntu) "MIR: new dependencies for libquvi-scripts / libquvi" [Undecided,Invalid] https://launchpad.net/bugs/154739519:05
jbichahmm, I guess it didn't show up on mismatches because libtotem-plparser-dev > libquvi-dev19:07
jbichaand libtotem-dev and librhythmbox-dev depend on libtotem-plparser-dev19:08
jbichayes19:09
jbichait should be ok to move those 3 -dev packages to universe, right?19:10
jbichaor maybe libtotem-pl-parser-dev doesn't actually need to depend on libquvi-dev; do you want me to try removing that depenendency instead?19:11
slangasekjbicha: if you think these deps can be sanely dropped, that seems like less work for everyone19:21
jbichaquvi is not listed in totem-plparser.pc so I'm making that change now19:24
