sakrecoerhi flo__ :) if you want answers, ask your question. otherwise, feel free to just hang around too of course :)11:51
flo__hi im searching for some clarification about the difference between soft-rt and rt kernels. im not into kernel programming but a bit interested in the topic.11:57
sakrecoerflo__: i'm not your best source of information on that topic, but i can tell you ubuntstudio uses low-latency kernel and as far as i know, RT kernels are good for misiles and jetplanes, while lowlatency are perfectly good enough for audio :)11:58
sakrecoerif no one better suited than me answers to you here, you could try ask that question in #opensourcemusicians11:59
sakrecoerflo__: ^11:59
flo__i know. thx ) just sought some more info than that : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuStudio/RealTimeKernel11:59

studio-d1g1t4Lnrso eylul what country are you from12:12
eylulTurkey, most of the devel team is actually from european timezones, so there is usually people around, this time of the day12:12
eyluldid you have a question studio-d1g1t4Lnr12:13
studio-d1g1t4Lnryeah any updates on when the software center will be repaired?12:14
studio-d1g1t4Lnrcurrently the software center does not install the various software correctly. you have to uninstall then reinstall with sudo in order for it to correctly install.12:16
studio-d1g1t4Lnralso any place you know of i can check out this studio in comparison to other distributions?12:18
sakrecoerstudio-d1g1t4Lnr: we don't develop the software center, so you might get better answer for that in #ubuntu12:19
sakrecoerstudio-d1g1t4Lnr: regarding comparison... i don't know tbh, ask arround in #linuxmusicians and #opesnroucemusicians maybe :)12:20
studio-d1g1t4Lnrthanks sakrecoer12:20
sakrecoer#opensourcemusicians even studio-d1g1t4Lnr  :)12:20
studio-d1g1t4Lnralso the audacious is still working just great12:20
sakrecoerah! it's you! :) glad to read that! :)12:21
studio-d1g1t4Lnryeah i tried the rythmbox for a while but there is nothing like using a application that works immediately and without a lot of hickups.12:21
studio-d1g1t4Lnrway back when the ubuntu started i used to use the xmms player12:22
sakrecoerstudio-d1g1t4Lnr: i also tried rythmbox, but i didn't like how it scanned for audio everywhere... my sample libraries ended up in there and then i uninstalled..12:26
