[18:07] <PCdude> junaidali: I have tried openstack on xenial too, MAAS is out of beta, juju not yet. I would suggest using trusty with maas 1.9.4 and juju 1.25.6. I got it to work that way

[18:09] <junaidali> Usually we use dedicated machines but this issue is hitting on my test setup (comprised of VMs).

[18:11] <PCdude> look at that link, I had some trouble with LXC containers getting their IP addresses and it turned out to be ESXI that was the problem
[18:12] <junaidali> previously i was able to successfully do a deployment with maas 2.0rc1 but then i upgraded my setup to 2.1.0 alpha3 and this started happening

[18:16] <PCdude> basically turn on ur promiscuous mode in  ESXI for the networks that are used by openstack, MAAS and JUJU
[18:18] <junaidali> i'm not using VMware. I created VMs with virt-manager to go for a quick test.
[18:19] <PCdude> junaidali: ah ok got it, well honestly why do u wanna use an alpha version? I mean that is so early in the process
[18:23] <junaidali> yeah, you're right. To move to new version smoothly from older ones, I'm trying out the new version. Also wanted to check the hiccups. I guess stable is not so far now.
