vigoHi all, I just had an issue with graphics after waking up from suspend14:37
vigolow graphic mode window appeared showing some errors and this is the output of dmesg: https://pastebin.canonical.com/166279/14:38
vigoline 938, there is a hang and crash pointing to an error file stored that I pulled out14:38
vigoworth a bug?14:38
vigotseliot, ping :)14:41
tjaaltonfile upstream14:49
tjaaltonprobably mesa14:49
tjaaltonand that gpu hang is well before you suspend14:54
tjaaltonsorry, you suspended the first time after 12s..14:56
vigothanks tjaalton :), so that crash wasn't triggered by suspend?  I pulled xorg logs will they show information about it?15:26
tseliotwell, dmesg says "GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error", so that should be enough15:36
vigoI filed a bug with all the info 15:37
vigotseliot, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/162660515:38
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1626605 in xorg (Ubuntu) "xorg error when waking up after suspend in YY" [Undecided,New]15:38
tseliotvigo: yes, as I suspected the X log is pretty useless, as the "EQ overflow" thing doesn't say much about the problem. The "error" file will probably be more of help. You might want to file an upstream bug report (as tjaalton recommended), and link it to the one on launchpad15:45
tseliotvigo: make sure you attach dmesg, error file, and X log there (so that they can diagnose the problem).15:47
tjaaltonjust file it upstream15:48
tjaaltonwe can't do much15:49
tjaaltonan honest answer15:49
tjaaltonhttps://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=DRI15:50
vigotjaalton, tseliot thank you :)15:51
tjaaltonand the first thing upstream will ask is to run with drm-intel-nightly kernel, which you can find from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/15:53
vigotjaalton, great, thank you all16:04
