=== JanC is now known as Guest5754 === JanC_ is now known as JanC [14:37] Hi all, I just had an issue with graphics after waking up from suspend [14:38] low graphic mode window appeared showing some errors and this is the output of dmesg: https://pastebin.canonical.com/166279/ [14:38] line 938, there is a hang and crash pointing to an error file stored that I pulled out [14:38] worth a bug? [14:41] tseliot, ping :) [14:49] file upstream [14:49] probably mesa [14:54] and that gpu hang is well before you suspend [14:56] sorry, you suspended the first time after 12s.. [15:26] thanks tjaalton :), so that crash wasn't triggered by suspend? I pulled xorg logs will they show information about it? [15:36] well, dmesg says "GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error", so that should be enough [15:37] I filed a bug with all the info [15:38] tseliot, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1626605 [15:38] Launchpad bug 1626605 in xorg (Ubuntu) "xorg error when waking up after suspend in YY" [Undecided,New] [15:45] vigo: yes, as I suspected the X log is pretty useless, as the "EQ overflow" thing doesn't say much about the problem. The "error" file will probably be more of help. You might want to file an upstream bug report (as tjaalton recommended), and link it to the one on launchpad [15:47] vigo: make sure you attach dmesg, error file, and X log there (so that they can diagnose the problem). [15:48] just file it upstream [15:49] we can't do much [15:49] an honest answer [15:50] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=DRI [15:51] tjaalton, tseliot thank you :) [15:53] and the first thing upstream will ask is to run with drm-intel-nightly kernel, which you can find from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ [16:04] tjaalton, great, thank you all
