[10:25] <herb64> Hi all, having some trouble with MAAS deploy and auto-assigned IP. Have static reserved range 172.17.0.1-49 for addresses not to be touched by maas, dynamic range 50-99 and rest is for "auto-assign" pool
[10:25] <herb64> I can enlist nodes (these are kvm virtual machines), change power parameters and commission them
[10:25] <herb64> by default they show up with "auto-assign" for their interface
[10:26] <herb64> But when running commissioning, they hang and do not get an IP assigned. Changing to "DHCP" via MAAS GUI, and they get an IP from the dynamic range and everything is fine
[10:26] <herb64> Also "Static" works.
[10:27] <herb64> Doing a tcpdump shows, that the MAAS DHCP Server sends out TWO DHCP offers:
[10:28] <herb64> first offer for first address in "auto assign pool" (172.17.0.100), second offer 25ms later with the address the node did get during enlistment/commissioning (172.17.0.91)
[10:28] <herb64> Client requests the .91 and MAAS DHCP answers with DHCPNAK, so client hangs.
