Every 10 minutes, the screen blanks, although screen saver is configured to kick in after 2h (i don't know how to completely disable it), energy management is configured to keep monitor always on, vlc is configured to suppress screen saver, and that energy saving suppression applet thing i added to the panel is also engaged.
