RarrikinsWhat's the standard way of running GUI programs as root? gksudo seems to not be installed by default.06:08
Unit193`pkexec` and hope it has a policy file.06:09
RarrikinsIt fails saying it can't connect to Mir (http://pastebin.com/R98dwxbV).06:11
RarrikinsShould I file a bug report?06:12
Unit193See /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/com.ubuntu.pkexec.mousepad.policy for example.06:12
RarrikinsThat exists. Do I need to edit it or create one for gnome-disks or something?06:17
Unit193Right, and no that's mousepad's.  So far I've just heard "use pkexec, it's better" with no real action plan or seemingly integration.  You can either write one, or just install gksu.06:18
RarrikinsOK, thanks.06:18
Unit193(IOW, I don't know.  Writing one would work, so would going back to the old method.)06:19
Unit193!pkexec | Not exactly the most useful06:19
ubottuNot exactly the most useful: pkexec is a PolicyKit tool that allows an authorized user to run (graphical) applications as another user, similar to !gksu.06:19
