[03:22] <dr4c4n> and the screen freezes, I can't even get to a terminal

[03:23] <dr4c4n> I mean I see the grey login screen (that was the background) and I just see my mouse cursor, but it doesnt' move, and the boot just hangs there.

[04:18] <dr4c4n> I went through his exact steps, but got black screen of doom after login after installing the 4.3.5 kernel as he suggested

[04:20] <dr4c4n> I didn't try the original ubuntu 16.10 yet, only the ubuntu -gnome 16.10

[04:21] <dr4c4n> also, the md5 matched up to the posted sums, but when you run the disk check after grub boot, it says there's an error in one file even though the md5 matches, and I dd'd to install media.
