[02:32] wgrant: After rebooting our production Launchpad instance to apply dirty COW fixes Launchpad won't start [02:32] stopping services on exception Exception('Timeout waiting for txlongpoll to start.',) [02:33] never seen this before, any ideas? [03:04] I forced the production instance back online by disabling txlongpoll entirely in the startup script. From what I understand, it's some kind of Internet download interface so _maybe_ we won't miss it? Still would like to know why it failed after a simple reboot [05:40] kb9vqf: I'm not sure why it would fail to start, but it's not used by any production features so it's fine to turn off. [05:41] wgrant: Great, thanks! Had a bit of a panic moment when it wouldn't start and a lead developer on one of the projects needed to get release builds uploaded.... [05:42] I think there are a couple other logs on the Internet showing the same failure but in those cases retrying it fixed the problem. This was quite persistent across multiple machine reboots, etc. [05:42] the process itself was running, but the diagnostics were useless\ === esteele is now known as Guest42908 === frankban_ is now known as frankban|afk === mup is now known as 21WAAGPR0
