[00:36] Good Evening, quick question: does MythBuntu not support ATSC tuners? [00:37] Yes. The hdhomerun is atsc [00:38] the reason I ask is because, I have both an Hauppauge WinTV Quad and HDHomerun Connect. The WinTV Quad is in the HTPC and out of the box it was not detected. [00:38] I have not tried the HDHomerun as of yet. [00:39] I have three here's one connect and two of old duals [00:40] Hdhomerun even [00:40] any suggestions for setup? [00:41] They are supported out of the box [00:41] Set them up with device id instead of ip [00:43] I will have a look. Also, is it normal that the network setup is stating that my IP address is the localhost? I am getting the feeling that I did not do something properly in installation. [00:44] Where? [00:44] In mythsetup? [00:45] Combined Fe/be [00:46] when I right-click on the desktop and chose 'Network', I see my ip address as 127.0.0.1 [00:46] I am running as a combined, yes [00:48] Wired? [00:53] wireless [00:55] Have you enter your credentials and connected [00:57] not sure I understand. when I started installation, I chose automatic login. thus i would assume that they are entered and connected. [01:01] I believe you have Is login and network wifi confused [01:02] OS login even [01:02] I have placed the wifi password in as part of the installation. [01:03] Have you tried web browser [01:09] when I opened the chrome browser, it brought me to the google home page [01:11] So the internet works. All computers have 127.0.0.1 for their internal ip [01:12] right, but I expected to see different in the network application [01:12] This has nothing to do with external or network ip [01:13] Unfortunately on phone right now [01:15] its all good......I am going to tinker a little....I just waned to do it from a VNC session rather than right at the TV [01:15] Try terminal [01:16] Ifconfig [01:17] yeah [01:32] have a good evening......I am tinkering and I thank you.
