Gamoder_Hi everyone, I installed xubuntu 16.04 in a VM and now I got no icons, and eclipse shows some gdk-pixbuf-problems (unfortunately I haven't saved the error message). Anybody knows how to fix that?09:41
Gamoder_Ah, seems like dpkg --configure -a was interrupted09:43
Gamoder_sudo r4sudo reboot09:44
Gamoder_sorry09:45

CypiHello. I have a problem with the HDMI sound on a laptop. I can have the sound through the HDMI just fine, but whenever I launch a fullscreen application, the sound reverts back to the speakers. More precisely, in pavucontrol, I can configure the audio profile to "Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output" just fine, but it reverts to "Analog Stereo Output" whenever something goes fullscreen15:53
CypiAny idea? Thanks!15:54
Artemis3Cypi, try opening alsamixer and see if some setting there is changing16:44
CypiArtemis3: thanks. With the help of a friend, I actually managed to somewhat solve my problem...17:05
Cypi1) When it went fullscreen, the change of resolution caused it to disconnect temporarily from the TV screen, which made it revert back to the speakears profile. Solved by making it the same resolution in both cases.17:06
Cypi2) Another solution was to launch the fullscreen and at the same time the command "sleep 10 && pactl set-card-profile 0 output:hdmi-stereo"17:07
Cypiwhich caused the sound to revert back to the TV after 10 seconds...17:07
CypiIt's ok by me :p17:07

xubuntu12dMy problem is that the LTSP login system does not allow for guest/skel accounts and autologin has a known bug..17:38
gr1dl0ckxubuntu12d: lightdm?17:41
xubuntu12dIs that the default? then yes...17:41
xubuntu12dI'm hosting the LTSP service from xubuntu 16.04LTS, but the LTSP clients get a different login system that won't allow for true guest account.17:43
xubuntu12dI just need the clients to get the same default Xubuntu login screen.17:46
gr1dl0ckxubuntu12d: you got a screenshot of the guest login screen17:53

xubuntu59wHello. I am trying to run it. I have the iso file on the usb stick and when the computer tries to boot from the usb stick i get a message "Missing operating system""21:07
Spass_xubuntu59w: Hello. How did you create your Xubuntu USB?21:12
Spass_Because "I have the iso file on the usb stick" sounds like you just copied a file to empty USB drive.21:17
kruhftSpass_: look into using Unetbootin for making your bootable usb: http://unetbootin.github.io/21:20
krytarikThe person who asked already left.21:22
