valorie!alis | ffmamk06:08
ubottuffmamk: Alis is an IRC service to help you find channels. For help on using it, see "/msg Alis help list" or ask in #freenode. Example usage: "/msg Alis list http"06:08
ffmamkty valorie <306:08
valoriepersonally I would ask in the imdb forums06:09
valorieyou aren't likely to get much interest in technical irc channels!06:09
ffmamkso what kind of people are usually hanging around here? i mean besides hackers and vendors for illegal stuff hahahah06:11
valoriethis is the quiet time, between the Americas and Europe06:14
valoriemostly kubuntu people, willing to help others06:15
valorieillegal anything is immediately removed06:15
ffmamkim in europe right now06:16
ffmamki like #kubuntu, you guys helped me a lot getting started06:17
valoriethat's why we're here06:18
valoriewe also have a chat channel: #kubuntu-offtopic06:18
valoriewhich is where we should move this unless you need support using kubuntu06:19
ffmamkalright, one more question. is there a list of irc code? i just saw some +R or +i06:22
valoriethose are channel flags06:24
valorieI think that freenode has some docs06:24
valorieread the motd on your channel tab06:25

valoriebut my test on 16.04 was not successful06:45
=== zippy is now known as Guest97203
valorieso I would only advise it on sacrificable kit06:45
valorieand make sure you have ppa-purge installed06:45
valorie!ppapurge06:46
ubottuTo disable a PPA from your sources and revert your packages back to default Ubuntu packages, install ppa-purge and use the command: « sudo ppa-purge ppa:<repository-name>/<subdirectory> » – For more information, see http://www.webupd8.org/2009/12/remove-ppa-repositories-via-command.html06:46
hateballYeah this is my work machine, so I'll make do with the current state of brokenness rather than try landing-brokenness :p06:46
valoriewe do need more testers though06:47
valoriebut not work machines06:47
valorie:-)06:48
hateballYeah, I only have 1 monitor at home tho so it's hard to test06:49

efeciftciHi, would it be possible if Plasma 5.8 in xenial backports-landing ppa was shipped with Qt 5.6.2 instead of 5.6.1? Qt 5.6.1 has a bug in QTimeZone component that affects Plasma desktop and which seems to be fixed in 5.6.2 ( https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-53071 ). Although it is possible to work around this bug by manually modifying qml files of plasma lockscreen and digital clock, it is not suitable solution for all timezones.20:06
