[22:03] Yo! [22:06] Ardonel finally talks [22:07] How is the weather up there tiwake ? [22:07] cold [22:07] the car I just got evidently did not have antifreeze in it, and froze solid [22:08] Uh-oh! [22:08] Not good at all. [22:08] thawed it out and is leaking between the engine and transmission a lot, where I cant see [22:13] probably popped the rear freeze plugs [22:13] freeze plugs? [22:14] I know the engine has a bunch of plugs on the side generally, but is that what they are there for? [22:14] it is a plug in the motor block that allows freezing water a way to expand when it freezes without cracking the block... [22:15] well I didnt notice any water in the oil [22:15] but I didnt check the exhaust [22:15] they only allow access to the coolant system [22:15] best case is that it just popped those plugs like you said [22:16] but if it is between the engine and transmission, you are looking at seperating them to replace them [22:16] yeah [22:17] so it is most likely a complete motor removal... [22:18] What car/motor? [22:18] ford taurus [22:18] 2001 [22:19] the 150hp 3 liter engine [22:19] v6? [22:19] yeah [22:20] the vulcan engine [22:21] (evidently the taurus was shipped with two different 3 liter engines) [22:21] the vulcan 3 liter has 150hp, the duratec has 200hp... the 200hp one is less reliable
