[09:06] Greetings everyone :) [09:09] hi pavlushka [09:10] hi pavlushka zaki [09:11] i have a major job to do [09:11] Kilos: what? [09:11] need to hack into a large flat screen tv and bypass the key lock because the remote was lost long ago [09:12] good luck with that [09:12] dont even know if lappy will get in [09:12] ty [09:12] which brand? [09:12] jvc [09:13] over a metre wide [09:14] 36 inch? [09:14] PD-51N30a [09:14] i have no idea about how you know tv sizes [09:15] he he [09:18] Kilos: how you will do that? [09:19] hoping the lappy sees it first as a second screen [09:19] then i use a hammer to bash my way in [09:19] if i battle i get a bigger hammer [09:19] lol [09:20] but if it can work as a second screen thats all thats needed because the peeps have all their videos on a lappy anyway [09:20] but with windows [09:22] but there should be a way to bypass the key lock anyway. the agents can do it if you take the tv in and pay for the job and a new remote [09:23] so if they have a way of unlocking it then google should know ways as well [09:27] hmm there should be a factory mode [09:28] i will google lots for workarounds once i have it connected [11:16] u-la-la: seen zaki [11:16] pavlushka: zaki was last seen 1 hour, 48 minutes and 51 seconds ago in #ubuntu-bd on freenode [2017-01-03 15:27:44 BDT], and has been offline on freenode since 2017-01-03 16:17:29 BDT [11:22] wb Kilos :) [11:23] ty pavlushka [11:23] Kilos: did that worked? breaking in? [11:24] no [11:24] nohdmi socket on lappy [11:24] ai! [11:25] wb zaki [11:25] and i dont want to attempt it from ians windows lappy [11:25] ai! [11:26] Kilos: do you have any external hdd? [11:26] to do what with? [11:27] i have one that used to house my ssd [11:27] wow [11:27] but ssd in here now so the case is resting [11:27] successfully organized my hdd partition [11:28] without any data loss. [11:28] I have an external usb-hdd, which I can keep while traveling and connect to any machine and boot into my system [11:28] using gparted [11:29] yes thats what i did with the usb3 external [11:29] pavlushka: i'm making partition for arch. [11:29] will duel nboot with ubuntu [11:30] Kilos: so connect that usb to ian's lappy and boot your system using that machine and try to connect to that display panel. [11:30] zaki: cool [11:31] pavlushka: this is privious state of my hdd [11:31] http://imgur.com/a/ZCZrX [11:31] yeah ty i can do that [11:32] just means removing ssd from this lappy and using old drive in here [11:32] too much work to change all that now so tv can wait a while [11:33] ha ha ha [11:33] ill hear when ian is away for a day or so , then use his lappy with his permission [11:33] because when he is here he is on and off it all the time with clients [11:34] Kilos: good luck on that :) [11:34] ty pavlushka [11:34] ai! [11:34] i was actually looking forward to seeing kde on that massive screen [11:34] ha ha ha [11:35] maybe ian has a hdmi/vga adapter then i can play [11:35] Kilos: 51 inches is really massive :) [11:35] yes its a massive tv [11:35] belongs to one of his ex girlfriends [11:35] Kilos: yes, that you can do, but adapters are sometime messy [11:35] Kilos: lol [11:35] so i wanted to fix it so she can use it [11:36] bbl [11:36] they couldnt even switch it on because the on/off button isnt there on this model [11:36] pavlushka: http://imgur.com/a/lopE4 this is current state [11:36] just a whole [11:37] i shoved a pencil in the whole and it turned on [11:37] hehe [11:37] hle [11:37] hole [11:37] hr he [11:37] lol [12:07] wb Kilos [12:08] ty stupid router disconnected from mobile provider and wouldnt log on again [12:08] ai! [12:08] maybe they working on something [12:08] may be [12:17] zaki: you should make your root as sda1 and swap afterwards. [12:18] Kilos: so the tv turned on and what next? [12:19] then when you touch and buttons to change channel or volume it says key lock [12:19] pavlushka: i will have to reconfigure everythint to do that [12:20] we had the same problem with our tv, then we just took it to service center and they unlocked it with their remote. [12:21] zaki: make a bootable pendrive and do it from there using gparted like Saiful Alam did :) [12:22] zaki: and then just had to edit the /etc/fstab and then update grub by "mkgrubconfig -o /mnt/boot/grub/grub.cfg" after mounting the root at /mnt on the live env. [12:23] btw there is no sda 2 and and sda4 [12:23] zaki: there will be, if you create another primary partition. [12:24] zaki: the second one will be sda2 [12:24] zaki: and maximum 4 primary partitions are allowed. [12:25] oky [12:25] what if i put all of them into a extended? [12:25] and the extended partition on which logical partitions are created is another primary partition but of extended type. [12:26] hard to understand [12:26] zaki: you must have 1 active primary partition minimum other than extended primary partition :) [12:27] and here comes Saiful , welcome [12:27] thanks, bro [12:28] oky now i have 1. and it working as swap [12:28] is it possible? i want to install ubuntu in my pendrive then want to use it any PC [12:28] Saiful: yes [12:29] pavlushka, Thanks. [12:29] Saiful: in that case, you have to install the mbr on the pendrive, means sdb or sdc may be [12:29] Saiful: you can check that by "sudo fdisk -l" [12:29] ok.... [12:30] bye now..... Allah Hafez [12:30] Saiful: see ya :) === Saiful is now known as Guest65115 [13:25] pavlushka: ping === Kilos- is now known as Kilos
