[05:00] lol [05:00] it's a sticker [05:00] Yeah, but I didn't do anything really other than moved a something near the keyboard [05:01] I did it lol [05:01] sintre: hey! [05:01] hey there [05:01] a special ubuntu channel for fl , hell who would of known [05:02] Oh, Cool, the way it's sorted in the telegram desktop clieent, I thought it was me [05:02] hi all [05:02] we have this IRC synced to a Telegram chat too [05:02] that's what the floridagram is [05:03] 😆 [05:03] @itnet7 gonna talk your ear off about stuff 😆 [05:03] I think I may work on my irssi script and start getting back in the channel [05:03] lol no probelm @ahoneybun [05:03] sintre: we've had 3 ubuntu release parties [05:04] the last one was in Orlando [05:04] i missed them all [05:04] when is next one :) [05:04] well 17.04 is coming out in April [05:04] April 13 I think [05:05] city decided? [05:05] not yet [05:05] Orlando is the great middle ground for everyone I think though [05:05] yea train ticket there isn't that bad either [05:05] us in South Florida carpool up to include as many people as possible [05:05] to hub connecting [05:05] nice [05:05] any organized room share? [05:06] yea split cost [05:06] well us from the South shared a room [05:06] some were close enough to drive back same day [05:06] but we can work stuff like that out [05:06] once we pick a place [05:07] yea i'd have to stay the night for the party [05:07] er we'll call it a confeence hehe [05:07] we went to a Pizza place together [05:07] :) [05:07] hopefully FOSSETCON will be back this year [05:07] on Orlando [05:07] orlando has some inflated prices for lodging id why i asked , for obvious reasons [05:07] @sintre, @Sintre - what part of Fla Re you in? [05:08] northern pinellas county [05:08] zoned for palm harbor , but more closer to oldsmar [05:08] you can do it without the @ they will get hightlighted [05:08] crap it's getting late [05:08] night [05:09] welcome to the fold sintre [05:09] thx honey have a good sleep [05:09] xD thanks [05:58] Hey @RazPi - I looked at that ZTE phone at T-Mobile today. It felt really solid [05:59] Im hearing strange banging noises outside behind the fence [05:59] Its either a raccoon or some dude [06:00] Thinking its a raccoon. Want to check but don't want to be that guy in the movies [06:00] It could also be some dude banging a raccoon [06:00] I mean thats also a possibility [06:01] This is florida [06:01] @RazPi, Exactly [06:01] In going to walmart for milk [06:02] Tring not to give in to eating at McDonald's [06:04] But if I do [06:04] What do you recommend [06:04] https://imgflip.com/i/1h86hq [06:05] big mac unless the spot your getting it from is experimenting with that new waffle type nonsense [06:05] fish-0 ley kind safe too [06:08] @RazPi, I like the chicken snack wraps [06:30] http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/10210327/McDouble-is-cheapest-and-most-nutritious-food-in-human-history.html @KMyers [06:30] XD [06:31] I disagree @RazPi [06:31] Those are amazing [06:32] Oh. BTW. I 3D Printed a 1:3 scale model of my 3D printer [06:45] WTF? [06:45] @AdamOutler, ? [06:46] Looks Pretty cool [06:46] Did it take long? [06:47] You should have made it creating a 3D model as well. :D [06:47] @itnet7, Not as long as I thought it would - 5.3 hours [06:47] +1 [06:48] Google+ post by Adam Outler … https://plus.google.com/+AdamOutler/posts/5XducdZtDJz [06:48] My printer prints much faster since I re-built it with some higher end parts (new cooling system, new e3D hotend, new feet) [06:49] How long would it have taken before the mod? [06:50] @itnet7, 7-8 hours [06:51] That's a great improvement [06:52] @itnet7 - Everything in green was printed as part of the upgraded [06:53] I wired up the fans from some old 60mm fans I had in a box and printed up the dual shrouds. [06:53] Wow [06:54] Here is a before picture [06:55] That's when it first starte the initial layer? [06:55] Here is the after [06:55] Yesm [06:56] The honeycombs save filament, and make it faster? Is that how most things are designed? [06:56] @itnet7, U [06:57] @itnet7, Yes, but it is not designed with the honeycomb, that is added by your slicer, it depends on your infill settings. It reduces plastic use and speeds up the print [06:57] The new feet that I was printing in that photo took 6 hours, if I made them solid, it would have taken over 30 [06:58] Wow [06:58] Unless the part is going to be a functional part that will take a lot of strain, I would never go solid [06:58] I would print gears and tools solid in most cases but thats about it [06:59] I do most of my prints between 10-20% [07:00] @itnet7 - Even at 15%, it is still insanely strong. For example the nut and head of that bolt I gave you a few months ago were at 15% infill. [07:01] The shaft of the bolt is solid as it is not thick enough to have infill [07:01] That's incredible [07:02] Here is another one for you [07:02] Those are woodfill [07:03] They look as if they took quite a while [07:04] @itnet7, Nope, only 90 minutes each [07:04] That was before I did the upgrade [07:04] Are they small? [07:05] About 3 inches from top to bottom [07:05] I can do 8 at a time on my printer [07:06] Technically I can have 10 running at a time if I run both of my printers [07:08] Here is a photo of my makerspace, it needs to be cleaned up a bit. I am still working on some upgrades [07:09] I am going to try and get one soon [07:10] Let me know when you are ready. I keep an eye out of things and some deals out there are pretty bad [07:11] Thanks will do [07:16] Just a heads up @itnet7 - The primary printer I am running is on clearance and can be picked up fairly cheap (600-700 ish). It is upgradable, hackable and uses off the shelf parts and open source firmware. [07:16] It is the Robo3D R1 Plus [07:17] https://store.robo3d.com/collections/r1-plus-limited-time-sale [07:18] Out of the box, it works well and will tackle anything you throw at it. If you are not afraid of using a drill, upgrading the hotend is worth it [07:19] Hell, there is an Arduino MEGA under the hood of the Robo3D R1, it really does not get more open then that. Even @AdamOutler would approve [07:29] Cool [15:05] @KMyers I'm curious how many people have followed you on G+ today. [15:15] 😁 [17:14] @itnet7 [17:14] Got here! [17:16] http://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/01/07/tv_anchor_says_alexa_buy_me_a_dollhouse_and_she_does/ [17:17] HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! [17:29] Does anyone know anyplace in Florida that sells Raspberry Pi's? [17:39] @ahoneybun get there a little early, no? I won't be able to get over there today. If I can get some of this work done, I was planning on trying to get over that way tomorrow [17:40] Just letting you know I got here [18:23] Radioshack use to sell a kit [18:24] Oh yes a starter kit [18:24] And @chuckr your alive! [18:25] Also Barnes and Noble had some during Christmas [19:12] I hate you [19:13] xD [23:47] @ahoneybun any good after the holiday sales? [23:47] tbh I did not spend much time in here
