zaf__Hi, I have ubuntu-gnome 16.10 and for the last few days I've had an issue where gdm  just fails to start21:01
zaf__the only way I can get it to work is to start in recovery mode, use the failsafeX mode, tell it to start the default graphical mode and then ctrl-alt-F1 to shell and ctrl+C21:02
zaf__when looking in dmesg I get an error saying gnome-shell segfaulted because of libmutter21:03
zaf__is anyone experiencing something similar21:03
zaf__?21:03
jbichazaf__: I've not heard of that issue, please file a bug using ubuntu-bug mutter21:05
jbichamention on the bug what graphics driver you are using21:05
zaf__jbicha, okidokey21:06
zaf__I'm thinking a package upgrade did something but I can't figure out what21:06
jg292Hey guys, do any of you also have an infuriatingly tough time finding the actual download link on the downloads page? Or am I just a moron?22:09
jg292I mean, I found it.  It just took me way too much time22:09
jg292Well, hopefully someone sees that and adds a hyperlink or two at the top.  That would be ideal22:13
fizikzhello. i updated from ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04. always using gnome2/classic/flashback/metacity.  now after updating, when i move windows around there is an invisible buffer around them that makes aligning difficult.22:15
fizikzeg in this image the wireframe shows where the invisible borders are at: http://i.imgur.com/k6zDtpG.png22:16
fizikzthis happens with "reduced-resources" enabled (via dconf editor: org/gnome/metacity), and not if it's disabled22:18
fizikzhow can i get the wireframe to be the size of the underlying window again, as usual?22:19
