SebthreeBQM10HDhi12:10
SebthreeBQM10HDthink I got a possible bug, or its something else12:10
SebthreeBQM10HDanyone around?12:10
brunch875SebthreeBQM10HD, what is it?12:22
SebthreeBQM10HDbrunch875, ok after upgrading to ota 1512:22
SebthreeBQM10HDon my tablt12:22
brunch875the aquaris m10?12:22
SebthreeBQM10HDwhich now has actsually also a bit of a not crack uhmm uh forgot word now12:23
SebthreeBQM10HDwhen its not a crack12:23
SebthreeBQM10HDa dent ?12:23
SebthreeBQM10HDno thats not  it12:23
SebthreeBQM10HDanyway got like a line going from one side to the other going across, since its fallen, not as bad as it sounds12:23
SebthreeBQM10HDi wonder if that could cause my issue hmm12:23
SebthreeBQM10HDbrunch875, yes the m10 ,but the hd, not the fhd12:24
SebthreeBQM10HDwhen I  open up the browser12:24
SebthreeBQM10HDfor example12:24
brunch875Well, SebthreeBQM10HD, it depends on the issue.12:24
SebthreeBQM10HDits now, opening up when in tablet mode which is default12:24
SebthreeBQM10HDin  a small area on the right of the screen12:25
SebthreeBQM10HDand then I can't seem to be able to resize it or anything, but if I swich to desktop mode, things are ok in full screen, and its not just the browser, seems to be like pretty much any app12:25
SebthreeBQM10HDbrunch875, does that make sense? small area of the screen,  instead of full screen, and not being able to just resize it12:26
brunch875SebthreeBQM10HD, I wouldn't really know... I don't have a tablet12:27
brunch875To resize... you use 3 fingers, right?12:27
SebthreeBQM10HDbrunch875, hmm that might work, not really tried12:28
SebthreeBQM10HDyou mean when on it ?12:28
brunch875Yes, that's how you resize windows, right?12:28
SebthreeBQM10HDI think i  just dragged before12:28
SebthreeBQM10HDor didn' hve isuse12:28
SebthreeBQM10HDwent back to otablet mode12:29
SebthreeBQM10HDso now got xchat open in background ok, thats libertine12:29
SebthreeBQM10HDthat's full size12:29
brunch875SebthreeBQM10HD, I'd say the best way to test this would be grabbing a mouse12:29
SebthreeBQM10HDbut the browser is in the small area on the right of the screen12:29
SebthreeBQM10HDand can't sem to drag it or anyting like that to re resize12:29
SebthreeBQM10HDa mouse hmm not tried, but that might jusst switch to desktop mode nayway12:30
brunch875if my memory doesn't fail me, to resize windows you had to triple finger tap on a window, which would display the window controls12:30
SebthreeBQM10HDbut like this theres like a line down the left to, tht you would think could drag but nope12:30
brunch875you say you can't even drag things around?12:30
SebthreeBQM10HDnot having much luck trying12:31
SebthreeBQM10HDbrunch875, ok the screen has a scratch that's the word i wanted12:34
SebthreeBQM10HDdavmor2,  popey is my above mentioned issue a possbile bug or ?12:52
SebthreeBQM10HDbrunch875, yes cant seem to drag and make bigger the browser window, when in tablet mode12:52
brunch875SebthreeBQM10HD, but can you toggle the resize mode at all?12:53
SebthreeBQM10HDbrunch875, I tried a finger thing and that dind't work or I did that wrong12:53
SebthreeBQM10HDnah its just stuckon the size it wanted12:53
SebthreeBQM10HDon the right there12:53
SebthreeBQM10HDI can mov beteween apps though12:53
SebthreeBQM10HDthen it like moves in the mover thing but hmm12:53
popeySebthreeBQM10HD: you typed a lot, can you summarise the bug pls?12:54
brunch875popey: He can't seem to resize windows, he also has a scratch on the screen which might interfere12:55
SebthreeBQM10HDpopey, I don't know if its a bug,  or just me being effected by the scratch down my screen12:55
brunch875on 'desktop mode' that is12:55
SebthreeBQM10HDno on tablet mode that is12:56
SebthreeBQM10HDon desktp mode things are ok full siz12:56
SebthreeBQM10HDwell they are full size in desktop mode, not really treid to resiz as such there12:56
brunch875I had no idea you could resize windows in tablet mode12:56
brunch875...can you?12:57
SebthreeBQM10HDin desktop mod e can re size with my fingr or a bit12:57
SebthreeBQM10HDin tablet mode it's opening up in a small space on th right12:58
SebthreeBQM10HDso th tablet is going across it's not up,  that's when its across, but same thing if it was up12:58
SebthreeBQM10HDit opens up in a small area, rather than full size like it used to12:58
SebthreeBQM10HDthen I can't seem to resize it at all when I try12:58
SebthreeBQM10HDthere's even a line  that would look a bit like a scroll bar down th left, but that isn't really the scroll bar, if that makes sense12:59
brunch875you'll have to forgive me, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding12:59
SebthreeBQM10HDa black line12:59
brunch875I only ever handled the phone, too12:59
SebthreeBQM10HDthe browser used to open up in full sized no problem in both tablet and desktop13:00
SebthreeBQM10HDbut now  it doesn't in tabltet mode, but still does in dsktop13:00
popey12:55 < SebthreeBQM10HD> popey, I don't know if its a bug,  or just me being effected by the scratch down my screen13:02
SebthreeBQM10HDok trying some other apps in tablet mode13:02
popeyuse a mouse?13:02
SebthreeBQM10HDthey seem to be ok so far13:02
SebthreeBQM10HDbut the brwoser nope13:02
SebthreeBQM10HDmaybe this is a specific browsser in tablet mode bug then ?13:03
SebthreeBQM10HDok the browser opens up like tux racer which has th not full siz issue anyway13:04
SebthreeBQM10HDtux racer had issues  not opening up full size from before, but now the broser as well13:05
SebthreeBQM10HDin tablet mode13:05
brunch875SebthreeBQM10HD, do you have a mouse to test it?13:05
SebthreeBQM10HDyeah, but upstairs unless...13:06
SebthreeBQM10HDwell got usb mouises here, but do I have the o2g thing hmm13:06
SebthreeBQM10HDbluetooth upstairs13:06
SebthreeBQM10HDsome where13:06
brunch875give it a try! :)13:07
SebthreeBQM10HDtux racer acsaully opens up on the side as well13:08
brunch875SebthreeBQM10HD, so the problem is you can't do this gesture? https://youtu.be/fiEkCaA_P7c?t=16013:14
brunch875or that new apps open up in the sidestage?13:14
brunch875or that you're unable to resize the sidestage?13:15
AmbystomaHi guys, I am having an issue with my bq 4.5 which does not recognize sim cards any more. There is no little signal icon in the upper right corner anymore and I cannot chose a wifi network. There is a icon in the drop down menu which wasn't there before "indicator-network", which is empty. The wierd thing is that I get telegram messages from time to time, but never saw that I could write some, telegram is always searching for14:01
Ambystoma a network... Can you help me with that?14:01
brunch875Ambystoma, perhaps the indicator crashed. Restarting phone should do the trick14:02
Ambystomabrunch875 I restarted already several times, it won't ask for pin codes any more and the problem stays the same14:05
dobeyAmbystoma: rm .config/connectivity-service/config.ini.lock14:25
pmcgowanbeat me to it14:26
mterrytedg_: hey so I was tootling around with the "UAL should pay attention to Mir interface too" branch -- my changes might hit the snapd service an additional time (to get all interfaces for an appid).  How performance sensitive is it?  I'm noticing that it makes updating the tests a big pain because of the lists of responses that the mock gives back.  I can14:37
mterryadjust that to be less sensitive to changes as well while I'm there, but wanted to ping you about this stuff before spending a bunch of time on it14:37
tedg_mterry: So my thoughts were to not touch that stuff alot because I want to migrate all the snapd stuff to robert_ancell's glib-snapd library. I figured I'd do a better mock then.14:38
tedg_mterry: So I'd say it's fine, but probably not worth a lot of your time.14:38
tedg_mterry: Performance-wise snapd is fast, I'm not worried about it. But I figure we can put caches in later as we show need.14:39
tedg_mterry: Right now the biggest bottleneck I'm worried about is the squashfs stuff. Which is entirely out of our control.14:39
alex-abreukenvandine, ping14:45
Ambystomadobey perfect this works completely14:49
Ambystomathank you for the quick an effective support!14:49

kenvandinealex-abreu, pong15:34
alex-abreukenvandine, hey, ... quick question ... there are no libs/ways to mock the content hub right? to ease up testing from the POV of a client15:38
kenvandinealex-abreu, no...15:39
kenvandinebut it would be handy :)15:39
alex-abreukenvandine, indeed ...15:39
kenvandinei've been wanting to dbusmock it15:39
alex-abreukenvandine, yes that's the approach that I had in mind15:41
kenvandinei've been hoping jgdx would create a tool to automate creating mocks with dbus introspection ;)15:42
kenvandinei keep planting the idea...15:42
jgdxkenvandine, right, i too was hoping i would get that time15:47
kenvandinejgdx, indeed...15:47
alex-abreua couple of hours should be enough no ? :)15:48
jgdxproblem is you need to write an adapter or something, because dbusmock's "templates" are small scripts right now15:49
nick118has anyone tried to install virtualbox on ubuntu-touch?15:49
dobeynick118: it's only avaialable for x86, so not likely. but what are you trying to do exactly?15:57
dobeyi would not suggest trying to run a vm on a phone. there is nowhere near enough RAM or CPU for it15:57
dobeywell maybe a very small vm could work, but it would be very slow15:58
nick118meizu pro 5 has a 4gb ram (android version)15:58
nick118how about qemu ? is it possible to install qemu on armv7 or armhf?15:59
dobeynick118: http://askubuntu.com/a/623311/5073716:00
dobey(i need to update that answer to include instructions for setting up a simple libertine container instead, as it manages some aspects of that better)16:01
dobeynick118: what is it that you want to run in the vm though?16:01
dobeyqemu/kvm is available on arm, so it's at least installable16:02
nick118I have read about libertine, on insights.ubuntu.com16:05
nick118libertine is very helpful16:05
nick118I don't have any specific thing in mind to run on a VM on a phone16:06
nick118however I regularly use VMs to experiment with basic OSes and some assembly code16:08
dobeynick118: well arm is weird, so it's not quite the same as setting up a VM on x86 and booting an ISO and installing. i presume the assembler you're referring to is also probably x86 asm, which you would need to emulate to run on a phone, so probably not a great way to test it16:20
