[12:22] SebthreeBQM10HD, what is it? [12:22] brunch875, ok after upgrading to ota 15 [12:22] on my tablt [12:22] the aquaris m10? [12:23] which now has actsually also a bit of a not crack uhmm uh forgot word now [12:23] when its not a crack [12:23] a dent ? [12:23] no thats not it [12:23] anyway got like a line going from one side to the other going across, since its fallen, not as bad as it sounds [12:23] i wonder if that could cause my issue hmm [12:24] brunch875, yes the m10 ,but the hd, not the fhd [12:24] when I open up the browser [12:24] for example [12:24] Well, SebthreeBQM10HD, it depends on the issue. [12:24] its now, opening up when in tablet mode which is default [12:25] in a small area on the right of the screen [12:25] and then I can't seem to be able to resize it or anything, but if I swich to desktop mode, things are ok in full screen, and its not just the browser, seems to be like pretty much any app [12:26] brunch875, does that make sense? small area of the screen, instead of full screen, and not being able to just resize it [12:27] SebthreeBQM10HD, I wouldn't really know... I don't have a tablet [12:27] To resize... you use 3 fingers, right? [12:28] brunch875, hmm that might work, not really tried [12:28] you mean when on it ? [12:28] Yes, that's how you resize windows, right? [12:28] I think i just dragged before [12:28] or didn' hve isuse [12:29] went back to otablet mode [12:29] so now got xchat open in background ok, thats libertine [12:29] that's full size [12:29] SebthreeBQM10HD, I'd say the best way to test this would be grabbing a mouse [12:29] but the browser is in the small area on the right of the screen [12:29] and can't sem to drag it or anyting like that to re resize [12:30] a mouse hmm not tried, but that might jusst switch to desktop mode nayway [12:30] if my memory doesn't fail me, to resize windows you had to triple finger tap on a window, which would display the window controls [12:30] but like this theres like a line down the left to, tht you would think could drag but nope [12:30] you say you can't even drag things around? [12:31] not having much luck trying [12:34] brunch875, ok the screen has a scratch that's the word i wanted [12:52] davmor2, popey is my above mentioned issue a possbile bug or ? [12:52] brunch875, yes cant seem to drag and make bigger the browser window, when in tablet mode [12:53] SebthreeBQM10HD, but can you toggle the resize mode at all? [12:53] brunch875, I tried a finger thing and that dind't work or I did that wrong [12:53] nah its just stuckon the size it wanted [12:53] on the right there [12:53] I can mov beteween apps though [12:53] then it like moves in the mover thing but hmm [12:54] SebthreeBQM10HD: you typed a lot, can you summarise the bug pls? [12:55] popey: He can't seem to resize windows, he also has a scratch on the screen which might interfere [12:55] popey, I don't know if its a bug, or just me being effected by the scratch down my screen [12:55] on 'desktop mode' that is [12:56] no on tablet mode that is [12:56] on desktp mode things are ok full siz [12:56] well they are full size in desktop mode, not really treid to resiz as such there [12:56] I had no idea you could resize windows in tablet mode [12:57] ...can you? [12:57] in desktop mod e can re size with my fingr or a bit [12:58] in tablet mode it's opening up in a small space on th right [12:58] so th tablet is going across it's not up, that's when its across, but same thing if it was up [12:58] it opens up in a small area, rather than full size like it used to [12:58] then I can't seem to resize it at all when I try [12:59] there's even a line that would look a bit like a scroll bar down th left, but that isn't really the scroll bar, if that makes sense [12:59] you'll have to forgive me, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding [12:59] a black line [12:59] I only ever handled the phone, too [13:00] the browser used to open up in full sized no problem in both tablet and desktop [13:00] but now it doesn't in tabltet mode, but still does in dsktop [13:02] 12:55 < SebthreeBQM10HD> popey, I don't know if its a bug, or just me being effected by the scratch down my screen [13:02] ok trying some other apps in tablet mode [13:02] use a mouse? [13:02] they seem to be ok so far [13:02] but the brwoser nope [13:03] maybe this is a specific browsser in tablet mode bug then ? [13:04] ok the browser opens up like tux racer which has th not full siz issue anyway [13:05] tux racer had issues not opening up full size from before, but now the broser as well [13:05] in tablet mode [13:05] SebthreeBQM10HD, do you have a mouse to test it? [13:06] yeah, but upstairs unless... [13:06] well got usb mouises here, but do I have the o2g thing hmm [13:06] bluetooth upstairs [13:06] some where [13:07] give it a try! :) [13:08] tux racer acsaully opens up on the side as well [13:14] SebthreeBQM10HD, so the problem is you can't do this gesture? https://youtu.be/fiEkCaA_P7c?t=160 [13:14] or that new apps open up in the sidestage? [13:15] or that you're unable to resize the sidestage? [14:01] Hi guys, I am having an issue with my bq 4.5 which does not recognize sim cards any more. There is no little signal icon in the upper right corner anymore and I cannot chose a wifi network. There is a icon in the drop down menu which wasn't there before "indicator-network", which is empty. The wierd thing is that I get telegram messages from time to time, but never saw that I could write some, telegram is always searching for [14:01] a network... Can you help me with that? [14:02] Ambystoma, perhaps the indicator crashed. Restarting phone should do the trick [14:05] brunch875 I restarted already several times, it won't ask for pin codes any more and the problem stays the same [14:25] Ambystoma: rm .config/connectivity-service/config.ini.lock [14:26] beat me to it [14:37] tedg_: hey so I was tootling around with the "UAL should pay attention to Mir interface too" branch -- my changes might hit the snapd service an additional time (to get all interfaces for an appid). How performance sensitive is it? I'm noticing that it makes updating the tests a big pain because of the lists of responses that the mock gives back. I can [14:37] adjust that to be less sensitive to changes as well while I'm there, but wanted to ping you about this stuff before spending a bunch of time on it [14:38] mterry: So my thoughts were to not touch that stuff alot because I want to migrate all the snapd stuff to robert_ancell's glib-snapd library. I figured I'd do a better mock then. [14:38] mterry: So I'd say it's fine, but probably not worth a lot of your time. [14:39] mterry: Performance-wise snapd is fast, I'm not worried about it. But I figure we can put caches in later as we show need. [14:39] mterry: Right now the biggest bottleneck I'm worried about is the squashfs stuff. Which is entirely out of our control. [14:45] kenvandine, ping [14:49] dobey perfect this works completely [14:49] thank you for the quick an effective support! [14:51] np === w00t_ is now known as w00t [15:34] alex-abreu, pong [15:38] kenvandine, hey, ... quick question ... there are no libs/ways to mock the content hub right? to ease up testing from the POV of a client [15:39] alex-abreu, no... [15:39] but it would be handy :) [15:39] kenvandine, indeed ... [15:39] i've been wanting to dbusmock it [15:41] kenvandine, yes that's the approach that I had in mind [15:42] i've been hoping jgdx would create a tool to automate creating mocks with dbus introspection ;) [15:42] i keep planting the idea... [15:47] kenvandine, right, i too was hoping i would get that time [15:47] jgdx, indeed... [15:48] a couple of hours should be enough no ? :) [15:49] problem is you need to write an adapter or something, because dbusmock's "templates" are small scripts right now [15:49] has anyone tried to install virtualbox on ubuntu-touch? [15:57] nick118: it's only avaialable for x86, so not likely. but what are you trying to do exactly? [15:57] i would not suggest trying to run a vm on a phone. there is nowhere near enough RAM or CPU for it [15:58] well maybe a very small vm could work, but it would be very slow [15:58] meizu pro 5 has a 4gb ram (android version) [15:59] how about qemu ? is it possible to install qemu on armv7 or armhf? [16:00] nick118: http://askubuntu.com/a/623311/50737 [16:01] (i need to update that answer to include instructions for setting up a simple libertine container instead, as it manages some aspects of that better) [16:01] nick118: what is it that you want to run in the vm though? [16:02] qemu/kvm is available on arm, so it's at least installable [16:05] I have read about libertine, on insights.ubuntu.com [16:05] libertine is very helpful [16:06] I don't have any specific thing in mind to run on a VM on a phone [16:08] however I regularly use VMs to experiment with basic OSes and some assembly code [16:20] nick118: well arm is weird, so it's not quite the same as setting up a VM on x86 and booting an ISO and installing. i presume the assembler you're referring to is also probably x86 asm, which you would need to emulate to run on a phone, so probably not a great way to test it [16:28] https://insights.ubuntu.com/2016/08/04/use-any-app-from-your-ubuntu-phone-or-desktop/ === IdleOne is now known as Guest55639 === mwenning is now known as mwenning-lunch-r === salem_ is now known as _salem === genii_ is now known as genii === Elimin8r is now known as Elimin8er === mterry_ is now known as mterry === psivaa_ is now known as psivaa === daker_ is now known as daker === Trevinho_ is now known as Trevinho === dobey_ is now known as dobey
