george_eHalp! I have a recipe that won't upload anymore.05:28
george_eExample build that fails: https://code.launchpad.net/~george-edison55/+archive/ubuntu/nitroshare-dev/+recipebuild/132500005:28
george_e"File qhttpengine_1.0.0+dfsg1-0~201702232227~ubuntu16.04.1.tar.xz already exists in NitroShare Dev"05:28
george_eBut this is impossible.05:28
george_eIt has the timestamp in the version.05:29
george_eHow could I have possibly uploaded it sooner?05:29
george_eI tried this a couple days ago and got this error and I assumed it was just a temporary bug.05:29
george_eApparently it isn't.05:29
NishantHello I need to know whether a commit done with wrong email id can be reverted back with the right one?05:50
NishantAnd will the corresponding changes  would be done in launchpad user profile as well as stackalytics ?05:51
chrisccoulsonany idea what happened here? https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-security/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+build/1207058910:10
chrisccoulson(I've had quite a few of these this morning)10:10
chrisccoulsonand a few uploads have disappeared in to the ether (no confirmation email from launchpad)10:11

chrisccoulsonok, launchpad appears to be eating all of my uploads to https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-security/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/10:42
cjwatsonthe process-upload job is stuck10:47
chrisccoulsoncjwatson, ah, thanks10:47
cjwatsonlast log entry is10:47
cjwatson2017-03-01 09:47:46 DEBUG   Pumping rustc_1.15.1+dfsg0.orig-dl.tar.xz out of the librarian10:47
cjwatsondo you happen to know how big that file is?10:47
chrisccoulsoncjwatson, it's about 400MB10:48
cjwatsonshouldn't take an hour :)10:48
cjwatsonas for the first; good question, it's just getting a CancelledError which is pretty mysterious10:50
cjwatsonmay have been some kind of network event, I can't quite tell10:50
cjwatsonfeel free to mash retry10:50
cjwatsonhm hm10:51
chrisccoulsonok, I'll give those a retry10:51
cjwatsonI wonder if the librarian is happy10:51
cjwatsonchrisccoulson: maybe wait a sec10:51
chrisccoulsonok10:51
cjwatsonchrisccoulson: ah no, it's fine, go ahead10:52
cjwatsonchrisccoulson: your uploads should be catching up now10:52
chrisccoulsoncjwatson, excellent, thanks10:53
cjwatsonhmm, stuck again11:24
cjwatsonI think there's a network-level problem here11:29
chrisccoulsoncjwatson, I did get one email, but it was a rejection (MD5 mismatch with the tarball). The quoted MD5 doesn't appear to match what I uploaded11:57
Ionicis there any way to get the buildlog for this failed build? https://code.launchpad.net/~x2go/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+recipebuild/132520811:58
cjwatsonIonic: there isn't one; I think there's a network problem12:03
Ioniccjwatson: I figured so... so shall I just wait and retry at a later time? it first failed about an hour ago12:04
Ionicwithout a log file12:04
cjwatsonIonic: try it again now (recipe builds can't retry as such but you can request a new build)12:05
Ionicyes, I know12:05
Ioniccjwatson: trusty amd64 also seems affected12:06
cjwatsonchrisccoulson: could've been a symptom of the same thing, I guess12:07
cjwatsonIonic: it was some kind of infrastructure problem; series will be irrelevant12:07
Ionicxenial has a buildlog now, thanks :)12:07
Ionicokay, so more like random failures, although xenial happened to fail twice in a row while others worked12:08
Ionicmight have just been unlucky though12:08
Ionicthank you again12:09
cjwatsonhaven't yet diagnosed the network problem12:09
Ionicah, so I've just been lucky12:10
Ionicha, now I got a timeout error while accessing https://code.launchpad.net/~x2go/+archive/ubuntu/ppa12:12
=== kevinm is now known as Guest3009
cjwatsonchrisccoulson: ignore the rejection you'll just have got13:01
cjwatsonthe "Unhandled exception processing upload: IncompleteRead(0 bytes read, 63383864 more expected)" one13:01
chrisccoulsoncjwatson, ack13:02
cjwatsonmay be fixed now13:05
cjwatsonrestarting frontend apaches seems to have helped13:05
chrisccoulsoncjwatson, thanks, everything seems to be working fine now :)13:41
cjwatsongood good13:43
Ioniccjwatson: everything, expect binary uploads to PPAs, it seems... I have a pending upload for 24 minutes14:00
cjwatsonIonic: for which build?14:01
Ionichttps://code.launchpad.net/~x2go/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+sourcepub/7519738/+listing-archive-extra this one to be precise - all other suites but xenial already uploaded successfully14:01
cjwatsonIonic: ah, that's the PPA publisher14:03
Ionicyep14:03
cjwatsonlet's see14:03
IonicI can download binaries from the librarian just fine14:03
cjwatsonI think it's just slow14:03
cjwatsonrestarting the frontends meant that some things that would ordinarily be cached aren't14:04
Ionicokay, I'll keep waiting14:04
cjwatsonit is being somewhat unusually slow, I'll grant14:05
IonicI wasn't sure whether it stalled or is actually just slow - given that the other suites published successfully14:05
cjwatsonbut I can't really look now, need to go out shortly14:05
cjwatsonthe publisher is running and making slow progress14:05
Ionicit's okay, I'll be patient14:06
Ionicthe progress must be excruciatingly slow, still not published yet15:14
cjwatsonIonic: yeah, we're still investigating :-/16:46
Ionicwell, doesn't seem to be a large-scale problem, so far I seem to be the only one who actively complained17:07
cjwatsonit is a large-scale problem17:09
Ionicurgh, okay :/17:09
cjwatsonbut possibly others have seen the complaints already17:09
acheronukjust had 2 archive builds fail with no reason or log given, and looks like a few ppa ones maybe as well17:54
Ionicyep17:54
acheronukx86 builders at a crawl?17:55
Ionicthe infra team is already investigating17:55
Ioniccjwatson said it looks like a network issue17:55
acheronukmaybe I should wait before uploading new KDE plasma then (39 packages) :P17:58
Ionic*shrug* in the worst case, some builds will just fail18:01
=== beisner- is now known as beisner

DedSecdoes anyone know how to get launchpad to automatically build an golang app using git and and single build recipe?22:45
dobeyyou can't build a deb and have it download arbitrary code from remote servers during the build, no. you will have to package the dependencies you need like many of the golang-go-* libraries are packaged in ubuntu23:02
dobeyand then build-depends on them in debian/control23:02
dobeyi think building a snap though, you /might/ be able to rely on it pulling stuff out of git during build23:02
