[00:12] Hello? [00:14] Well I'm not sure if anyone is around but, [00:14] I've got an old laptop with the latest version of xubuntu on it, it's a HP pavilion dv4-1125nr [00:15] On the fresh install everything was working just perfectly. Now, the screen is completely fine unless it is open at a 30ish degree angle [00:16] I've tried upgrading the kernel, which was suggested on a forum, but that didn't do any good [00:17] I know one site said to just look in the settings for "light locker settings" [00:17] There is absolutely no light locker setting thing in my settings manager [00:18] I said completely fine in an earlier statement [00:18] I meant completely dim [00:18] You can't see anything [00:20] not sure if anyone sees this but, [01:32] hello [01:32] I was wondering if anyone has expenice with running 16.10 on an apollo lake cpu? [03:11] Hii [03:11] Oi [03:11] Alguém me ajuda [03:15] ........... [03:15] :?? [03:16] !br [03:16] Por favor, use #ubuntu-br para ajuda em português. If so where? [16:03] I have three monitors and want to be able to easily have a window fill half of the center monitor [16:13] [] [16:19] Jef91: alt-f8/9 [16:19] wait [16:20] f5 and f6 [16:20] http://www.keyxl.com/aaac887/409/Xfce-Window-Manager-keyboard-shortcuts.htm [16:22] mmm don't know how you could make it snap to a side without using wmctrl [16:28] GridCube, how would I do that? [16:28] basically just want to emulate how windows works with superkey+left / right arrow [16:28] no idea, sorry [16:32] Jef91: i don't know if this still works, its 7 years old http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2009/11/aero-snap-ubuntu-linux [16:32] don't think that compiz manager is still around [16:34] Jef91: you also have this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19X0gng_-qk which is also pretty old, but not as old [16:34] XD [16:41] oh boy, now i feel silly Jef91 P: xfce has tiling options already built in [16:41] GridCube, neat, where are they? Still learning my way around. [16:41] Jef91: go to window manager settings then to keyboard and look for tiling [16:42] you can make it snap to the top to the bottom to each side and to each corner [16:43] GridCube, ahh awesome! [16:43] It is kind of confusing that isn't listed with the other keybindings [16:43] under keyboard [16:43] but I have what I want now [16:43] perfect [16:43] :P [18:56] hello [21:00] i just installed xubuntu on my laptop with a 4k screen. how do i get it so that it doesn't look terrible (tiny window borders, small fonts, etc) [21:00] Is there any way to add "move to monitor" to the right click menu on the title bar of windows in XFCE? Kind of like how you can right click to move to other work spaces on the same monitor.
