[00:30] hggdh, valorie: i was unable to sign up for hotmail and yahoo mail about a decade ago because of what my surname says when you remove the first and last letters [00:30] ok, more than a decade [00:30] more like 15 years [00:31] Oh geez. [00:31] ikr! [00:31] Those decades get big quick [00:31] quite [00:32] i mean i did sign up and all, but it wasn't legit per their TOS [00:36] sigh. I have seen much worse names [00:36] and, frankly, a name is a name [00:42] for example, my son had a friend in high school called Hang Lo [00:43] thankfully not past tense [00:43] no, hang is present tense [00:44] gee really [00:44] :() [00:47] there was a friend of mine (we worked together for some years) called Dar Busa. It hapens that "Dar" means, in Portuguese, "to give"; Busa as pronounced in US, has a hard S. Which happens, in Portuguese, to mean vagina (low level) [00:48] and I found another one, at the same company... his last name was Karalius. This happens to sound, again in Portuguese, as penis, plural. [00:49] hggdh: yeah it's fairly mild [00:49] i've encountered some interesting thai names in systems before [00:49] pornphan for example [00:49] so I wanted to get both in Portugal and Brazil, in a conference, so that I could announce them: "so, now with you, Karalius and Dar Busa!" [00:50] and there's always phuket [00:50] I as forbidden to do so... pity [00:50] s/as/s&/ [00:50] ugh. was/ [00:51] anyway, I want to believe Karalius first name was Dick, but I am most certainly wrong [00:52] i went to uni with a young lady who's father was actually named richard head [00:53] whose* [00:53] there you go... [00:54] just today I emailed a viet-american called Phuc [00:55] I get yelled for chatting in here, perhaps we could go to the other channel [00:55] plus at [00:56] bazhang: you are absolutely right [00:56] I apologise [03:18] hum. [03:18] -- | You have been invited to #fpvmfzi by xsceqqlb [03:18] intriguing [03:19] but I like my ignorance [03:19] yes, I think it's possible I would decline such an offer [04:08] the oftc spambots have been doing that, was bound to happen here eventually
